The Garrett Snuff Mill

A while back I found some old pictures of the Garrett Snuff Mill and posted them here. Sadly during the last migration the photos were lost. I’m going to see if I have them on my PC at home and hopefully repost them since I can’t recall where I got them :-? Anyone else have historic photos of snuff mills? I think I also have some pictures of the old Lorillard snuff mill in NY.

@cstokes4 I loved those pictures-- and the history of Garrett (my brother is named for Levi-- when the chew came out, my Dad and Granddad chose “Garrett,” kind of neat but we’re a NC tobacco growing family so it makes sense)-- I hope the pictures get recovered… and I will add that I NEED PICS of them as well for the illustrations we are working on— so to all-- if you’ve got— POST.

Hi I do have some old snuff mill pictures they are in a book I purchase when on a weekend in Kendal in the Lake District a few years back, the book is called “Kendal Brown” by J.W.Dunderdale. I would love to post them however I am not sure regarding copy right laws in uk if I can or not. It was an interesting read, God only knows how the writer got all the information as its very in depth.

You can find them here https://www.google.com/search?q=Garrett+Snuff+Mill&safe=off&espv=210&es\_sm=93&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=WPXzUvrCMOfgsATmi4GYDg&ved=0CAsQ\_AUoAw&biw=1236&bih=606 don’t know which ones are yours? http://snuffhouse.org/discussion/2688/the-lorillard-snuff-mill http://www.loc.gov/pictures/search/?q=garrett%20snuff%20mill&sg=true

Its the last link, Library of Congress. Perhaps its best to keep it as a link so that migrations wont affect it.
