I am sorry to hear this, and wish you, Tom, all the best in your future, and success with your other sites. It is sad that we have a government which is the enemy of it’s own citizens. Now if your issue is not having the FDA approved items, and ability or desire to do the state tax collections, I would fully understand.

@tom502 They are using UPS to ship. UPS will still ship everything but cigarettes. I don’t understand how they are dealing with state/county/city tobacco taxes that the new law requires we pay BEFORE a package ships. I’m assuming they are labeling, on the outside of the package, what’s inside, ie ‘tobacco products’ , another requirement. Also, delivery is restricted to someone of the correct age. My explanation above was certainly simplified for the sake of brevity. If the courts decide that the tax situation is unconstitutional, I’ll certainly take a hard look at reviving Nic Rush.

I actualy like the ups shiping of my snus. Although it cost more the tracking is way more accurate and it seems like you can make arrangements with them about what time they deliver it. At least it looks like that. And honestly when making a larger order it doesn’t seem to be as much of a bigger expense. Might be something to look into. Might be worth asking someone at the northerner or getsnus how they are doing the taxes? They may be friendly and the worst thing they could do is be rude. I don’t like when anyone who does a good job lose it for reasons that are stupid.

Tom, as a new US snuffer, I’ve only ordered accessories from you, but your products, prices and service are second to none. It’s a sad day when a vendor is forced out of business because of irrational prejudice against intelligent tobacco use, especially a vendor of your caliber. Hopefully judges who believe in the preservation of civil liberties and who oppose the creeping Big Brotherism that is taking over will strike down this insane PACT law, and you will be able to do business once again. Thanks Tom. Yeah, I have ordered from getsnus recently, and their cans are covered with stickers, UPS, and signature required, with ID. Their website adds up the state taxes.

even tho i am fairly new to snuff i managed to place 2 orders with tom before the pact and i couldn’t be happier with the service, not to mention the fast delivery and all that…even after the pact i was kinda hoping Tom will find a way around all this so i won’t have to order from UK; thank god toque and mr. snuff still deliver (and i hope they will for a long time) or else i will be stuck with ozona president and orange from my local tobacco shop… IMHO Snuff should never be put in the same category as cigarettes or dip…

This is very sad. I hope it is premature, and that NicRush will survive after all. It will make things harder for me - Tom is very Canada-friendly. I know the other suppliers like Toque or Mr. Snuff will ship to Canada, but the shipping seems to take a long time out to BC, and Customs brutalizes me on those… I must say I should have seen this coming, as the US laws become more like the impossible Canadian laws (e.g. you can’t ship tobacco between provinces in Canada, according to the law anyway, via ANY method). They have this big “anti-smoking” rhetoric, but then ensure that only cigarettes are easily available. Sorry to see any small business person ravaged by arbitrary government nonsense - especially sorry for all of us to lose a good supplier!

I can’t help but worry how much longer I will be able to snuff. It seems like sooner or later there will be no way to get hold of any.

As far as foriegn companies getting away with shifty packaging what is the u.s. going to do. Most they really could do is complain to that country. Where as Tom would be very easy to hit with fines and the like.

I realize it is hard for you to sell snuff in the US right now, but you could have still sold off the rest of your stock to foreigners (like me) - I don’t see how PACT affects you selling out of country.
