I’m sitting here in Dallas TX freezing my ass off and wishing spring would come already after the biggest snowstorm in history, and another day of 32 degrees and mist. So I pour a glass of Jameson’s, put on Bonnie Raitt’s old, old first album and take a few pinches of Lorillard Sweet, and suddenly it’s springtime in the country. If high end scented snuffs like F&T Bordeaux are like being in an ultra exclusive bordello, and Dohlakia Kamal or Sun Pari are like being in an Indian harem, a good American Sweet Scotch is like being in a whorehouse circa 1925 in the East Texas, in a warm, slightly stuffy room, with a creaky bed and a brass headboard resting on plank floors, somebody playing the blues on a piano downstairs, the birds singing outside and the trees starting to bloom. And maybe the smell of red beans and rice wafting through the floorboards, and the smell of creosote from the old railroad ties when you open up the window to get some air. And I haven’t even started in on the Honey Bee yet.
Go man go, your on a roll don’t stop now. I really enjoy Honey Bee, now I’m curious as to what imagery you have in store for it! (-;
Nice LHB!. I love the smell of creosote. You’re right- sometimes there are days where the simple things in life give you the most pleasure and everything seems to click…those are good days to remember.
I like the brothels that smell of French Carrotte .
Honey Bee would be pickin’ up a gal from the Horn Palace in San Antonio after an evening of sour mash and cheering on Peck Kelly’s Bad Boys (with Jack Teagarden blowin’ the slushpump, naturally), taking a ride out to the country in your T roadster, and then rolling around with her in the timothygrass…
I’ve had to semi-rearrange half my living room in an effort to place and sort where I can get at them all these snuffs, most of which are American sweet snuffs, I really need to test every snuff I have for additional sorting purposes (I need to verify whats plain and whats sweet, can’t always go by the label or reviews) I went with one delivery from owning 0 American sweets to owning one of every one of them MrSNuff offers I’m trying to sort, rearrange to fit them all and testing as I go as much as I am able This is my first night/first time ever trying any American sweets and between the testing end of things holy crap am I having a sugar rush (but so far I really like 'em!) sorry I cant say much more about any of them right now (a bit busy and buzzy lol) but I’ll add more comments and thoughts later and to think I was worried I might not like them!
@ whistlrr I glanced at the order you had forthcoming with all the American Scotches (which would have taken me all night just to type, not to mention earning the money to pay for them the hard way) and I suspect you will be the world’s expert on U.S. snuffs when you are through trying them. Keep us posted!
LOL its 8am and after an unintended night long sleep I’m back at trying to test and sort them all (and yes,I did blow my month’s extra money on this… might scare you to know I live on just over $800 a month social security disability… but since I can’t go anywhere or do anything I sometimes end up with extra, which lately I’ve blowing on snuff… what better way to spend it? Hey I’m helping the economy, starting with MrSnuff) It’ll take far more than just my one sniff 'is it sweet/is it not sweet" testing (joyfully far more) to say a lot but right now I’m just trying to affirm whats what… for example checkerberry doesnt SAY “sweet” on its can, but I have decided it is, and so is maccoboy (that maccoboy is very interesitng, smells like I opened a bottle of booze) I somehow have to get all this put away where it goes (I settled on lining the top and every available shelving area on my computer desk/hutch because if I cant see it and reach it I won’t use it) before 8:45 (someone will be here then who needs me to have all my stuff put away first)
