Just curious what others are up to… I thought I’d try out a couple different refillable bullets. Does anyone else out there use em’? And if so, what are your thoughts? Do they keep snuff fresh? Do they dust your tonsils? What’s your favorite one? I’m not a heavy snuff user… just 10 - 20 good ones a day. Thanks for the advice.
They are a fairly new thing and are kind of love em or hate em. In actual fact they are head shop coke bullets put to a new use. As such they don’t deliver a big dose and most seasoned snuffers would need a couple of doses per nostril to equal their usual pinch size. I’ve tried them all at one time or another and I rate the cheap plastic ones that dholakia use as the best. With these you can also make the dose chamber slightly bigger by pairing some of the acrylic off. Bullets are best used with finer snuffs as courser, moister snuffs tend to clump under the head and this gives blank doses where nothing comes out and you need to give it a good few taps to clear it. The metal ones are pretty but don’t particularly work any better. My personal opinion: a good idea that doesn’t quite work for snuff. But there are plenty of people who like them for the convenience value and discrete way they can be used. They keep snuff about as well as a brand can does. I don’t think snuff benefits from them in terms of taste, but again thats a personal view. Cheers.
I really like the convenience of bullets. That said, I agree with everything @snuffster wrote. It’s become habit for me to give the bottom of the bullet a few shakes and a few firm raps with a knuckle before use. The best dose I get is from Posh metal, but there are still some models I haven’t tried. As snuffster said, they’re best with finer, drier stuff–and I usually want only a small hit of those anyway. As for freshness, a small bullet won’t hold enough for it to lose too much. I really like Toque Lavender and Toque Original, which I initially tried via a mini-bullet assortment pack from them. So now I refill the lavender labeled one with lavender, the original with original . . . . I could go on, but snuffster already nailed it.
I agree with everything from the previous two posts. I will add that I use bullets every day at work. They are toque bullets and hold about a gram. They won’t keep snuff fresh for very long but they only hold about a gram so I refill daily. It does take about 2 or 3 doses per nostril to satisfy me. If you have never used one of these, be careful. If you sniff hard while holding it right inside of a clear nostril , it could be bad! Be cautious with them. I typically tap the dose onto the back of my hand from the bullet and sniff it from there. I find its easier to sniff a fine/dry snuff this way, and you get more flavor, as opposed to sticking it in your nostril and sniffing. As previously mentioned, the best thing about bullets is that they are discreet and there is no mess, (ie, no snuff on ur fingers or under ur finger nails, etc), plus they are cheap - if you lose or break one it won’t be end of the world. If you snuff a lot, 1 bullet probably won’t last you all day though. But they do have their place. I’ve never tried a metal one, and probably never will, since the acrylics are rugged enough for me , plus you can see inside and know how much snuff you have left.
The only time I use a bullet (a refilled toque bullet- they come filled and can be paired out for a bigger dose. and they’re clear) is when I don’t want to be putting tobacco in my nose in front of people. Like a wedding, or church, or something like that. They’re great for stealth mode.
Someone needs to make snuff bullets that deliver more snuff. That’s the only downside to them IMO. I have one and I’ve thought about removing the middle part to go strait from the chamber to the nose.
portions are very small, even when I bore out the hole. got mine in a head shop. convenient for driving I guess.
Sounds like they aren’t designed with snuff in mind… but convenient when on the go. Thanks for the thoughts fellas. I have a couple coming my way soon just to give em’ a go.
I forgot to mention – they’re good when your hands are dirty
Bullets are a good convienence for a quick sniff when at work.
I use a bullet at work everyday. I clean clinics and the like and so I am always wearing latex gloves, bullets really come in handy at times.
There is a place for bullets. They’re not my favorite but damn it I forgot to order one after my last bullet got killed by the wash.
Well, I got my first bullet yesterday… and as Kramer says, “I’m out there and I’m loving it!” It’s clean, quick, and puts out the perfect amount for my tastes. Just fill er up and go.
Glad it works for ya- if it gives you a good dose amount then more power to ya… I take about 2-3 times the amount my bullet dispenses- so I normally pinch or use my spoon!
I bought a plastic one the other day for a couple of quid and i thought it was pretty cool at first.I filled it up with sparrow and went for a walk. About 30 minutes into my walk it suddenly dawned on me that im walking about the streets of glasgow with about 2 grams of suspicious looking brown powder in a bullet i bought from a shop that sales drug parafanelia. The kinda shop that only stocks snuff so they can have excuse to sale cocaine gear. i.e a smmall glass mirros with a razor blade and a snorter labeled as a snuff tool. If i were to get stopped by the police i could explain that its snuff tobacco but it would be pointless i would be jailed and kept in until they were able to test it.So i doubt id carry a bullet.I was heavily questioned one night about my plastc dispenser. So I wouldnt carry one.For me I need to have the warning label on the tin or a nice wooden box that doesnt look like the kinda box police would think is full of heroin.
All you need is a tin with correct snuff labeling on it. That should be enough.
I dont like bullets with anything scented, you just dont get the same flavour. The only snuffs I like to use a bullet for are D. White and FUBAR Grunt. They give the perfect dose for D. White but anything else I have to use 2-3 doses for each nostril.
i have some in my cart at mrsnuff … trying to fight off my TAD … but what is the consensus - glass, metal or acrylic as far as what works best? Or … all just equally troublesome/good, depending on the snuff?
It depends. I like the Toque bullets because they’re cheap and clear, come filled with snuff, and they’re small. Gets the job done.
refillable, right transistor? can certainly let loose a TAD and round up some bullets from Toque …
