I know that quite a few people in this forum have read extensively about Snuff from old books and sources.
From the older books on snuff that you have read, what one, or two, or three were the most informative, and helpful to your over-all understanding of snuff?

You have to scroll down to get to the ones in English. Just wanting your take on separating the wheat from the chaff. I’m sure they are all interesting in their own way, but which few are absolutely indispensable?

To put this in context, I’m putting together a book that will compile public domain materials on snuff tobacco, in one volume. Its a personal project, but I’ll share the PDF of the finished product here at Snuffhouse for free. There will also be a paperback and hardback version available basically at cost.
I’m well on my way as far as compiling materials. I was just throwing this out there, in case I had missed some materials that should be included.

@markstinson: The books I use are mostly in Dutch or German, since the English literature hardly gives any recipes how to prepare snuffs.
