Well, it’s (finally) October so I should be able to get away with posting this now… Is anyone else as excited for Halloween as I am?? Mrs. Scurvy and I will be attending a giant zombie-themed early Halloween party this weekend, one we wait for all year long. I believe we’ll be showing up as Frankenstein and the Bride… Later in the month we’ll be going to some fantastic haunted house attractions, one on a movie set that is a whole haunted town! What will be your costume? Any plans for this, the most joyous of seasons? Parties? Trips to the haunted house? Any special family customs? Stay spooky, my friends.
I just love autumn. It stimulates all five senses. It makes me go on an F&T HDT bender too.

We had a freeze warning last night but only dipped down to 34F. Hopefully we don’t hit freezing until the end of the month. Certain crops take a little longer than others. (good thing I don’t farm)
its just shy of 80 F here and quite humid for a few days now. At least the leaves are beginning to turn though.
Taking my daughter trick-or-treating and coming back home for a family Samhain ritual. It’s my favorite holiday.

My favorite time of the year as well. There are four haunted houses I go to every year that are quite good. I am still looking forward to one day going to the haunted house they have at Penn State Penitentiary, maybe next year. One of the two remaining steam powered cider mills in the country has reopened for the season right down the street from me. Fresh cider and spiced donuts. One of the guys I work with is the founder of a paranormal society here in CT and he gives a great presentation about what he does. He has a great slide show and videos of some of the investigations he has been on. Very spooky even for the skeptic. Finish up the month taking my daughter trick-or-treating and an all night movie fest.

@Scurvy- sure you can start by cutting the grass, rake the leaves, clean the gutters, muck the pony stall, collect the eggs, take out the trash, do the dishes, hang the wash on the line, feed the animals, check the mail box, change the kitty litter. Then you can practice playing your Musical instruments. Then you can have a cookie or some icecream

I really enjoy the fashion options the Fall allows- sweaters, jackets, corderoys(sp). Also, when steping into the cold, snuff smells amazing in the nose.
