For a fortnight, I have been shoveling copious amounts of Duck Soup up my nostrils at a manic pace. I am nearly at the end of my 30g tin, which should be exhausted by the coming of the new day. Good thing, as my rostrum is raw from the repeated spice rub it has been assaulted with. Intense, rich, moist and full of nicotine, this flavoursome snuff showcases a panoply of seasonings, all framed by a superstructure of clove. Smelling of Ceylon, it presents cloves, mint, rosemary, and cinnamon at first address, with a fume of citrus lingering in the shadows. Upon uptake its dry, icy clove-burn is followed by the introduction of mint, cinnamon, allspice, cardamom, rosemary and bergamot. Creamy and complex, Duck Soup, is, quite simply, exceptional. As a foodsnuff, it enhances the enjoyment of curries or other Indian fare and marries itself well with Lagers. Regal, this crowning achievement should neither be missed nor taken lightly.

I buy one tub of Taj every year. It’s so rich that I only take it at certain times. It’s quite complex. I’ve had vivid dreams a few times when I took a few princes late at night.

Duck Soup was a bit of a turning point for me - my first snuff was Cheetah and I wanted something with a bold flavour; I was recommended Duck Soup and the rest is history.
I am wide-open for suggestions as to anything similar to this - I’ve already gone through Marrakesh and currently working through Chin-Chin & Horse Feathers.
Roll on the new stock of Sanity Clause!

I’ve been taking snuff for many years, and I am familiar with almost every type. But the Duck Soup is like nothing else. I’m eager to try the rest of Simply Snuffs. If the others are as good as DS, then I’ll be happy to get them on a regular basis. Good topic.

I just ordered the other Simply snuffs. I’m actually impressed by the Duck soup. I wasn’t expecting too much honestly, I guess I’m old enough to be jaded about certain things, but I’m also old enough to know that sometimes, excellent new things arrive on the scene. These new creations are just that; excellent and quite unique, and I’m happy to see them. Most of the snuffs we all take and love are old formulas, and they’ve stood the test of time. However, it’s nice to have input from the 21st Century!

What do you mean by Taj?

This perfumed black Indian snuff: Dholakia Taj 25g – MrSnuff

K

Thank you! Will check it out; never seen this variety.

Taj is a highly perfumed, black, Indian snuff made by Dholakia. There’s nothing quite like it, and it’s very good.

I’m having Duck Soup right now and frankly I can’t wait to be done with the 30g tin so I can go back to some normal snuffs like G&H SP, Irish 22, O&G, White Elephant.

The Duck Soup is simply way too strong on the spices, it is like being assaulted. I recently finished off a 6Photo Chocolicious in the same format of tin as this Duck Soup and it was similarly too strong except on the menthol in that case. Same goes for Green Dragon. Its so strong as to be unpleasant. But I am finishing these 30g tins if my nose survives.
