I am sooooo excited and happy! I have been practicing all the different ways to snuff and I finally found a technique I do without getting snuff in my throat!!! After many trials and errors with many possible ways, I can snuff properly off the back of my hand! I just had to share it will everyone! I haven’t had any snus in two weeks now. I am totally on the snuff. I love snuff!!! I will say this, now that I can snuff properly, I can now appreciate the flavors and nuances of snuff! It is just uncanny how beautiful and tasty snuff is when you finally find your own way to sniff. I currently am having Toque Toffee with a coffee this morning. Amazing…that’s all I can say.
Congrats. I’m still trying to figure out how to use snuff without irritation or getting a runny nose. Hopefully I’ll crack that one soon and have the same experience you’re talking about.
I am no where near trying scotches and toasts as of yet. I do well with coarser, moist snuffs at this point. I am waiting for an order of Wilson’s Apricot and Crumbs of Comfort. I know they will be a whole new experience. I use the bullets to carry snuff around at this point. I do hope that I will be able to use a bullet properly soon, as I outside quite a bit. If it is windy out I am out of luck. I expect I will still misfire as well. Its all good though.I am just pleased that I found out the pleasure of snuff! Snuff is so much better than cigarettes. Wished I had experienced snuff sooner. I have started mixing snuff as well. I find it quite fun. Happy snuffing
Congratulations Click, welcome to the wonderful world of snuff! Stefan
Congratulations! I know exactly how you feel! I used to get sneezing fits and stuffy almost every time. I have one pipe that goes through too easy. I too am glad I kept at it.
Congrats I’m a back of the hander as well though misfires are still common. I’ve found the trick for me with bullets is to ‘sip’ it. Jut tiny breaths at a time till the load is gone.
Left Thumbnail for me. Seems even better than the whole “anatomical snuffbox technique,” although I will cop to occasionally using a little silver salt spoon, just because. Never could get the pinch technique down - I sniff mostly American scotches, which are so fine and powdery that they end up as little tan stains on my fingers when I pinch.
Little tan stains eh? There’s one for the out of context thread
@ermtony: Dirty mind, my friend, you’ve got a dirty mind.
I’m afraid so… years of practice!
I have problems pinching, but I think it’s because it’s so hot and humid my hands are a bit sweaty. I think it will be easier when autumn comes. I usually use a pen cap, or if it’s a tap tin I sniff off the back of my hands.
Well, I spoke too soon. For the past two days, nothing but misfires! I am not going to let that stop me. I will continue to practice and practice…I am determined.
