Studies on Nasal Snuff Safety?

I’m sure this has been discussed before, I found some old threads referencing certain studies, but cannot find actual links with actual material I can source and print out for certain smokers I know who won’t even try snuff convinced it is MORE dangerous than cigarettes. I know there was like World Health Organization study done at one point, are there any other studies I can cite? The more studies the better. Also do you have any links to these studies? (And page numbers to the specific parts mentioning nasal snuff safety if they are long study reports!) Thanks!

Check out this thread from 13 on on this site; http://snuffhouse.org/discussion/7866/how-does-snuff-affect-our-health

One would think the WHO should be enough but, I have ran into the same problem. It seems to me that if a smoker will not listen the first time trying to site more info is useless. Not to say that is what will happen every time, only that I do not care enough to expend great effort to change a mind about snuff if they are unwilling in the first place.

my gf who is a nurse hates that i partake in snuff, she did her research and only found that it can cause inflamation of the mucal lining and increased sensitivity to seasonal allergens

Does she still hate it @Cros?

it can cause inflamation of the mucal lining and increased sensitivity to seasonal allergens

And, if you read the side-effects list inside a pack of headache pills, they can cause headaches! I’ve found snuff cleared my increasingly bad hay-fever right up.

she does still hate it, we’ve come to an agreement that as long as its out of sight its ok.

Thanks for the links, I actually did locate the monograph of that WHO report on tobacco…only problem is it is 641 pages, can someone tell me exactly which pages I can find the information related to the safety of nasal snuff can be found?
