Can I store snuff int his way: the original containers stacked on top of each other on a shelf or in a drawer? Will there be any cross contamination of scents?
As long as the tins are closed, you shouldn’t have a problem. The factory containers are sealed to prevent loss of aroma and moisture.

It depends on tin type. Screw lid tins if their lids are tighly screwed they are rather safe if kept in constant temperature storage.
WoS push pull tins I would recomend replace factory seal tape with something better and kept same flavour tins in zip-lock bags (2 of them are better than one)
Vac tins their shelf life is (IMHO) unlimited until vacuum seal is unbroken.
Plastic tap boxes their are good for short term storage.
Bulk bags best storage is baby food glasses.

Hi by the way the question might have been answered already, for me not opened snuff will last a lifetime except artisan snuff am i right ? I did not hear anyone complaining about mould in snuff. Well i hope i am right cos i m startin to have maybe almost 20 tins i bought from a local tobacco shop and those are not my favorites !
