Storage of snuffs (rust?)

I’ve read you guys and gals talking about some snuffs not being able to be kept in a tin due to rust or other issues. At one point I think someone mentioned there was a list, but I have been unable to locate any such list. So how do I know which snuffs need to be taken out of the tin immediately and how many can stay? If you remember my earlier post I have quite a few 10g heading my way. I planned to leave all the 10s in their tins (see what I did there?), and then decant the 25s and 45s and 50s into glass jars. Does any of this NEED kept in my fridge like I used to keep my snus or is it ok in a cool dark cabinet? Here’s the list of my order for reference again: 1. 6 photo kailash in 45g 2. Dholakia Ganga in 50g 3. WoS grand Cairo in 25g 4. WoS Jockey Club in 25g 5. Toque cherry menthol 10g 6. Toque grapefruit 10g 7. Toque peach 10g 8. Toque raspberry menthol 10g 9. Toque rose 10g 10. Toque strawberry 10g 11. Toque Spanish gem 10g 12. Toque st clements 10g 13. Toque vanilla 10g 14. Toque violet 10g 15. Poschl Alpina 10g 16. Poschl fc bayern 10g 17. Poschl gawith apricot 10g 18. Poschl gletscherprise 10g 19. Poschl lowenprise 10g 20. Poschl Schreeberg Weiss 10g

I don’t see a problem with any of the ones you listed and your planned approach. The two WoS snuffs are fairly dry and not salty so even they could be left in tins, in my opinion.

Oh, and the Toque grapefruit is known to lose its scent rather quickly once it is opened, so use it up fairly quickly.

You are an exceedingly helpful rodent! Lol thanks so much

You may want to invest in some air tight jars for larger amounts to protect freshness and avoid cross contamination. Baby food jars are fine

I have some ball jars intended for jelly, like 4 Oz I think. Is that ok?

No problem with German and Indian snuffs. Begin with toques, they get dry quickly because of the frequent opening and closing the lid. I use nylon strech film to cover the whole tin or electric band around the lid and sometimes i use double zip bags.
