Stokers metal snuff container - anyone have it?

S

I was browsing though the stokers catalog and noticed they sell what looks like a round, decorated snuff carrier. It’s on the same page as the big jars of snuff. Has anyone here tried it out?

T

I just ordered their catalog. How is their snuff? Is it American Scotch style? Tom502

C

I bet that Trout has one. I plan on ordering one with my leaf order.

L

I haven’t gotten one yet, but plan to when I place an order with them. Just got the new catalog today, so I should be ordering soon.

J

Did you see that they make a snus too? These guys are serious about their tobacco!

The tin looks pretty big. Same size as a moist snuff tin. You buy the moist in bulk and put your days supply in there. Too big for dry snuff I would think. I have an itch to try their snus, but I have a funny feeling it will be like Camel. Anyone tried it?

C

I don’t think that it’s “their” snus. Just like the Tube Rose snuff, I think that they just offer it. They also sell some name brand chews and dips.

J

Good call cstokes4, it does not seem to be “Stokers” product.

X

So I see. Goes by the name “Discreet” I guess that’s the brand name? No one has tried it? Kind of suprised at that.

T

I have read of these, they are made by American Snus Company, they have a website: http://americansnus.com/ Tom502

T

No I don’t have one. That tin is to put your dip can into. I believe your can slips right into it or meant to fill with your dip. But I’m sure could be used for dry snuff? For the price its worth a try. Snuff Can

T

The price has already gone up in the catalog for the stupid SCHIP. The 2lb tub was $35 and now $38.The looseleaf was $47 for a 6lb carton now $52. American Spirit RYO was $14.50 per can now is $23.20 per can. So order from your old catalog before April 1st.

Thanks snuffgrinder, I will.
