What does everyone think? I think it is almost like a nice frosty IPA smell. I am very fond of hoppy beer so this is great for me. But only in moderation. Too much makes me sick.
I don’t drink beer, never liked any sort, but I get Barley Sugar sweets coming to mind when I pinch Hopfen. Love it. From your point of view I would guess a bonus is that you don’t get a hangover with snuff!
I too don’t drink beer so don’t have anything to compare it with there. Lots of hops and something else I just could never put my finger on (malt?). It was an interesting snuff but after the first tin I haven’t bought it again.
I love this stuff. Well balanced and tastes just ad I visualized it to be… Especially good when enjoyed with a good IPA.
One of the best snuffs I have ever had.
What Whalen said.
I buy it in bulk tubs. Amazing stuff.
This snuff is prime case for one that, originally, I hate, and the more I let it sit around, and the more often I use it, I start to like it. Im sure I will love it by the time its gone.
This is definitely different than a Bernard, which I can take piles and piles of.
I pulled a very warm fresh can out of my pocket last summer, and had probably one of the best hits of snuff I ever had, something about being very warm really brought out the citrus with the hops. Really formed a scent memory moment, unforgettable, and one I really cherish.
Am I correct in thinking that they’re using an older, more traditional type(s) of hops? At first I didn’t appreciate the scent, as the IPA’s I was into seemed to have a different flavor profile.
@Mr_O I don’t know the answer to your question, but you can read all about their hops and their farm here: http://www.hopfentropfen.ch/home.php It may talk about the varieties they use.
I’ll have to check out the video later. The scent, to me, most closely resembles the hop character of some German beers that I’ve had, or Bellhaven’s Twisted Thistle IPA. The American IPA’s give me more of the Citrusey or Resinous flavors. Oh well, doesn’t matter much- just curious…
