i find i get more control getting snuff to one area in my nose where i get the best of what the pinch has to offer with a spoon. is that odd? does anyone else find they have better precision for placement? maybe more over just have to adjust how you breath in to get it in the right place? seems with a pinch i can get it in my nose but not with much precision i may just try different ways to get it there with a pinch

I generally pinch, unless it’s a tin I can’t get my fingers in. In that case, I use a flat tool, usually the large screwdriver blade of a Swiss Army knife. I have a nice titanium spoon around somewhere from when I got started. I find spoons don’t carry the amount I want. Just what I do, everyone has to find what works for them…

I use a wax carving tool (dab spoon).

I like that it is kind of shallow.

Pinching takes practice.

I sometimes pinch and will use a key on occasion. At home I use a vintage Victorian silver snuff spoon with a coral inlay.

Very nice! Looks like the setting for a regular snuff ‘ceremony’. Snuff tin and spoon, a nice tray and space to rest some ‘spiritual’ libations… CHEERS!

Being an avid ritualist, snuff taking is very much about ritual: how you take it, when you take it, with whom you take, what you drink when taking it, what to take with certain foods.
