Speed of nicotine absorption from snuff

I was wondering, when you take a pinch of snuff into your nose, say a dry toast, how long does it generally take before all (or most) of the nicotine is absorbed, and the rest of it is just dirt sitting in your nose?  Is the nicotine absorbed after the burn is gone?  After the scent is gone?  Or . . . ?  I know that snuff is particularly known for its rapid rate of nicotine absorption; I just don’t know how that correlates to real-time experience.

There are quite a few threads where people have discussed this over the years, it seems like there is some variation but a few minutes seems the mean. Going from empty (first time after waking up) I’ll pinch every 20 seconds or so for a minute or 3 I guess, and by the 5 minute mark from the first pinch I’m feeling nice, levels are still rising though and do for a while but 5 mins seems to be about right for me. As to burn, scent, those should differ by individual noses and snuff types, but you’ll know when you’ve had the right amount, and if it feels like you need to blow, do so and take another pinch. If just starting out with snuff keep in mind the only scientific study I know of showed a massive difference between veteran snuffers and new snuffers in terms of obtaining the nicotine from snuff. Just keep pinching until you feel right, blow when it feels right etc. Enjoy.
