I know that reviews etc are available. Sometimes one wants up-to-date info about what one has not yet tried from fellow members- these requests tend to turn up all over the place. Hence this thread. It may or may not prove usuful in the long run. Can I start the ball rolling by asking if anyone has any view on Tranter’s Beau Nash. I understand that it is plain and dark. Do any current members use it regularly or have an opinion either positive or negative?

I gave Beau Nash five stars on my web site. My comments: To put it simply this is a classic English snuff! It’s coarse, moist and a very dark brown and just begs to be shovelled up the nose by the bucket. The burn is minimal but it has a decent nicotine level anyway. Tranter’s say there is no flavouring though I seem to detect a hint of something, just as I do in the rather similar Brunswick from Wilson’s. First class and highly recommended.

Thanks Tony. I did read your remarks. I saw that someone else thought little of it. I think I’ll give it a go. They do bulk too I think.

Yes, thanks for that. I’ve seen those. I was more interested in whether any current members are using this one (Beau Nash) right now. Whether anyone uses it regularly. Useful as are the reviews and archives, I am beginining to think that despite generally good write ups, it is little used. Won’t let that deter me though. It’s interesting to know for example whether it forms a regular part of anyone’s current rotation. If so I’d like to hear from them.
