@MisterPaul  How are  they getting past screening?

I have no idea. I’ve been rejecting applications non-stop. This is really starting to bother me.

I emailed the admin and Mr. Snuff. Hopefully they can get the spam applications under control. You all can’t see them but they are coming in continuously. We had the same problem with the old site, someone, I don’t know who, made some kind of change and the problem stopped. The apps all have the exact same wording and are obviously some kinda bot thing. 

I give up.

I have locked down applications.  Not sure what else to do.  I have not approved any spam apps, not sure who is.  I don’t have the time to monitor this site all day.

@basement_shaman & @miamimark - It’s a mystery; looks distinctly ‘bot’ like to me; not that I have any great experience in these matters. I’m sure that the Mod’s team will think of way to stop this issue that’s more cunning than a monocle wearing, snuff taking weasel who’s pinching an as yet unreleased 6 Photo Madras toast  

Believe me, I’m in the same boat, I hardly have any free time as it is.  I think the apps are sneaking through some how. I hate to shut out everyone but I also don’t know what to suggest. 

we have installed a new reg module that asks a simple question (even gave the answer). Bots should not be able to get in. We’ll see if that helps.

If these reg have any human element it won’t work of course. In that case we will take another look.

@MrSnuff - I’ve said it beforel but you’re a fine fellow ;)  Lets hope that does the trick! :)

If it helps, on their profiles, their roles have all been listed as applicants, not members.

I might have found the loophole.  I’m going to open registration, we’ll see what happens.

Thought this was the best place to ask if anyone else has received an e-mail from Jaime@mrsnuff.com titled “Points account update .” Haven’t opened it because I’m not convinced it’s genuine yet.
