SO MANY MEMBERS- WHERE ARE YOU???

T

I’ve noticed we get TONS of new members almost DAILY! POST! Tell us about yourselves! C’mon don’t be shy! What’s your favorite snuff? If you had to pick- English or German? Or… Indian?

M

All of them, lol edm

M

I know I haven’t been posting myself much either, just been busy with my life and what not! But I know what you mean, so here I go I am really loving the F&T’s. I know I’ve said it a million times, but I really do. HDT is amazing, as well as Bordeaux. I guess that makes me a lover of English snuff . I got a few WoS tins too. And McChrystals. And Toque. Huzzah! Snuff is excellent

T

Here! (raises hand)

T

Hey @thesymbolist!

T

@transistor hey:) as for favorite snuff? hmmmm…these days probably Toque Rose.

T

Good choice! That’s the very first Toque I tried- in a prefilled bullet! Welcome to snuffhouse! Everyone here is super cool- its almost like a family here. That’s very rare these days…

M

This forum is the place to be. The bees knees, if you will

B

thesymbolist great pick. I just tried it for the first time and it’s a great snuff.

S

I love HDT as well and until recently I thought nothing could challenge it Jaap’s Gingerbread and Mettaijer however have changed that. There is now a Parthenon atop the cosmos of all divine snuff

P

It is awesome that so much new people keep flocking to the forum - but, we can only benefit from that in case some of thoose new members participate in a good way and dont only lurk all the time. Anyway, it would be interesting to know how much of them do snuff already or are they on a way to snuff.

M

Thanks for watching Michel !  More to come :-D

B

New member here too! I like the English snuffs best. Favourite so far, the Kendal Brown by Sam Gawith.

I found this forum while looking for resources for snuff. It has informed my snuff buying for sure! On the strength of recommendations, I have gotten some Old Paris and some Grand Cairo but I haven’t cracked either tin yet.

J

I used to lurk around the forum quite a bit before I joined, but you can be sure I’ll be fairly active as pretty much everything I do requires me to be on or around a computer

I’m a big fan of English snuffs so far, haven’t tried any German yet but I’ve got some coming in my latest order and from what I’ve heard I’ll probably be quite fond of these too.

M

Shoot I even subscribed to MikeMoose’s vids. Everytime he posts one I get an email.

Joesnuffer here.  I also do nasal snuff reviews with a few random things thrown in.

*end shameless self promotion*

As I said in my intro post I hope to contribute as much as possible and meet some cool people here!  I just kinda lurked in the shadows and recently decided to just go ahead and sign up.  I’ll post as much as I can!

Hi all from a snuff-taker from the UK, now transplanted to the US.  I’ve been using snuff for about 18 months, lurking and learning, and tend to favour plainer kinds of Toque, J&H, and Gawith Hoggarth, though I do have a soft spot for Dholakia White and F&T French Carrote.  I first became aware of snuff when I was a child and saw those little blue tins amidst clay pipes and the like in the local tobacconist; then I tried it when a student in the 80’s  when Wilsons had a promotion for a free box of (I think) medicated 99, but I didn’t know how to take it so wasn’t really impressed.  Now after 30 years of smoking I’ve finally given up using snus and snuff.

regards, eric

B

@barredbenny You’re going to like that Old Paris, what a great snuff!!!

@jackpot Let us know what you think of the German snuffs.  I’ve been loving the three Bernard schmalzlers in my last order.  They are so completely different to the other stuff I’ve tried.

M

@mustangii : Thanks a lot!  I hope you enjoy the videos!

I lurk quite a bit as well, but I do try to post when I can.

German snuff is really quite good, from what I have tried anyways…  I really like Bernard’s, they make some good stuff…  I mean I can’t really say that I guess because I’ve only tried Zwiefacher, but if the rest is as good as that one then I’m sold on them LOL.

And a comment on Old Paris…  Haven’t had a pinch in awhile, but I know this snuff is unique, and quite exquisite.  I love the F&T line (most of them . )

S

Just to put you all in the picture.  It’s 13:55 GMT in the UK and so far today we have had 26 applicants for membership. Only one was accepted the rest are spammers, or porn merchants.  Doing my best to keep this SnuffHouse clean.

D

@SnuffHead We appreciate that you do it.  It’s great to come on here and not have to sift through a bunch of garbage to get to the good stuff.

S

Thanks Dogwalla, I do my best to help out.

B

@Brewshooter You are quite right! It is up the old snuffbox now and I must say I am enjoying it a lot. Starts with a big hit of dates for me and then gradually gives way to a smoky finish. Some floral bits in the background too.

J

I am still fairly new to nasal snuff, as i have only tried four different kinds. My favorite so far however is Ozona President.

B

Although I would not mind porn merchants here if they kept it clean but thanks mods for keeping out the stinky peoples.

B

@MikeMoose Give their Brasil Doppel Fementiert or the Aecht Alt a try, both are very good.  I’m a particuarly big fan of the Zweifacher and the Doppel Fermentiert.

S

Love the silver dollar apricot.

M

@Brewshooter : I will definitely make sure those are on my next order .  Thanks man!

S

Also just got some Tom buck through a friend. Very pleased

P

Hello all,
At the moment my favorite is Medicated No99 but i am also trying a new snuff ever time i order i dont like nose burn and looking for a dry, fine snuff with a nicotine hit and loads of flavour that lasts. The nice thing about snuff is there are so many brands about and i think your favorite can change often depending of weather and moods etc.

B

the nose burn goes away with time. I’ve not had nose burn from snuff for a long while. Glad about it frankly.

A

I still get it - the least pleasant part of taking snuff for me. But I only get it with the first pinch after a lay off or just with the first pinch of the day.

V

So far my favorite is Poschl snuffs, Lowen Prise, Ozana President, Gawith Apricot.  Packards Club is okay, Red Bull was my first snuff and has a place close to my heart :)
I love the fact that you can get tap boxes of German snuffs, they are convienent, and work perfectly as i dont like pinching snuffs between my fingers. I post about the current order i have comming in, inludes 2 bags of poschl schmalzers.
I ordered some English snuffs, SGs and GHs, I need to rehydrate them cause i got them in tapboxes, but im considering just tossing them and buying the containers.

D

I’ve been a member for a while but haven’t posted much lately. Heck, I found the few snuffs that I use everyday and kind of got in a rut. I need to read here more and get ideas what to try next. I haven’t made a snuff order in months, and really don’t need to - won’t need to for a very long time. I bought all my regulars in bulk, and that’s working out quite well. I’m really partial to Sam Gawith Honey and SG Vanilla; those are the two I use the most. Next to that is McC Clove (which unfortunately doesn’t pack much of a nic punch). After that it’s Toque Whisky & Honey and the rest of my Toque collection. Not a large Toque collection, but enough to keep me interested. I need to order Whisky & Honey in bulk soon, so what would you guys suggest I get from Toque to go with it?

Welcome to all the new guys! Don’t be afraid to ask questions, but try using the search function if you’re ready for some heavy reading. You’ll get a lot to read from almost any search! This place has more snuff knowledge than anyplace I’ve ever found.

N

hi!!!hello…guys…how are you all???i visited snuffhouse after long break…impressed with all new look and member list…!

S

Welcome back namrata

M

@ddavelarsen : I HIGHLY recommend Spanish Gem, if you don’t already have it .  I have a feeling you’ll love it, it is one of my top favorites

D

@MikeMoose - I love Spanish Gem! You have good taste my man.

M

@ddavelarsen : Heh, thank you!  I figured you’d have that snuff .  Roderick did good with that one.  I also like Toque Coke.  Unfortunately, I only have 4 Toque snuffs…  I’ll make sure I order some more next time .  Any that YOU would like to suggest?

D

@MikeMoose - I’ve never gone wrong with Toque snuff, but my main gotos are, besides Whisky & Honey, Lime Toast, Toffee, Toast & Marmalade, Vanilla, Xmas Pudding. I’m not particularly partial to the fruit-named ones, really, Chocolate is good, if a little light on the flavor. Enough to get you thinking? :>

M

@ddavelarsen : I’ve always wanted to try the Xmas Pudding, I probably wont be able to until next year though…  And Toast & Marmalade always sounded good, same with Whiskey and Honey…  Actually you know what, all of those you’ve named sound great .  Oh how I long to increase the collection!

G

English, German, Indian, and American snuffs.

B

Yes I very muchly second what snuffhead said above. Welcome back. Please tell us you have much news.

D

I am fairly new, but I’ve been posting a little bit.  My favorite snuffs tend to be English.  Right now I am alternating between a Toque Natural Toast/Quit blend and a Toque Berwick Brown/Quit blend.  I mostly like toasts, but I am using the Berwick Brown blend because I felt I needed something a bit coarser to balance out all the toast.

G

Where were all you English snufftakers in the 80’s when they closed J & H Wilson?

N

I was in diapers

V

I’m confused, If J&H Wilson is closed down, how is their snuff still for sale 30 years later?

H

I was probably ending my previous past life, but I couldn’t tell you exactly where I was. Though right now I fully intend on being an active member of this forum. Though if this is for location, I’m in Virginia, in the US.

B

Any snuff I’m not prejudiced. Except american snuff it’s like floor sweepings. And this is my home.

H

Floor sweepings? Come on, it’s more like camp fire ash. Though I rather like it.
