SNUS Ice?

I keep seeing this ‘SNUS Ice’ in the Toque section of snuff store. Was or is this made by Roderick? The packaging looks very similar. Could anyone shed some light on the history of this product? Thanks alot. ~Snuffy

yup it’s made by roderick for snuff store. It is mentholated peppermint I think. It was one of the orginal parts of the toque line-up

And isn’t snus, by the way, its bog standard nasal snuff. There was some marketing reason for it being called Snus that I’ve long since forgotten.

Since “snus” is merely the Swedish word for “snuff” Roderick was aiming at competing with oral snus in the Scandinavian market. It was Toque’s second offering after original, and was distributed through normal channels. I guess eventually Roderick decided that the term was too confusing and was going to discontinue it, but then Tim at Snuff Store asked to be the exclusive retailer. Roderick or Tim will correct me if I am wrong, I guess. You might still see some old stock in the old style Toque bullets at some vendors like My Smoking Shop. Now its more of an oddity or something for snuff geeks (like me) that have to have everything and makes sure they will shop at Snuff Store. I have a tin and its pretty good, so I’m glad it wasn’t completely discontinued. I’m not a menthol fan by any means, but sometimes a little is nice. Toque is good at not overdoing menthol. I think you can create your own though, if you mix Toque Menthol with Toque Peppermint. In fact its probably my favortie of Toque’s menthol varieties, since one menthol is plain and the others are paired with fruit flavors. This is the only one paired with mint. Obviously mint and menthol are complimentary.

Snus Ice is awesome.

Is it similar to Wilsons Spearmint Plus?

_Is it similar to Wilsons Spearmint Plus?_Well, sort of, except one is Peppermint and the other is Spearmint. Both are mints but have a very different flavor. If Wilson’s has a peppermint menthol, it would be more comparable to that.
