J

@AlKindisnuff how much Bohica do u usually add into mix by parts? I feel like adding more than 25:100 is too much, Im a bit worried I could ruin other snuff

A

@Johano Hey pal I think you can do more than your 25:100 if you’d like to should be fine I get a pea size or larger size of each snuff if I do a mix of 3-4 snuffs then put it in my small coin snuff box and give it a shake. Then dip in on it once that’s done. If I only do two snuffs to blend example: I do 60% or a bit more if wanted of other chosen snuff with remainder 40% Bohica Depending also on flavors strengths of aromas if one is a weaker aroma then if add a bit more, also can be subjective too. I would try it in small snuff box first as I grab from main stash and refill my daily snuff boxes & snuff coins. Also you can just get a touch of each on your fingers and mix and rub fingers while snuffin’ it in to get a feel for the aroma. I rarely mix full jars of a couple a few snuffs. Unless I know for sure. Usually I’ll buy a few Dholakia • Swiss Chocolate tubs and a bunch of Poschl • Gletscherprise and Gletscherprise Gold &\\or Gletscherprise Nachfullbox to mix. I will do about 10g to 15g Swiss chocolate mixed in Amber jar with 20g of of either one of the Gletscherprise snuffs. Give it a test mix in a small snuff box as too much of one may be too much or less for my taste vs. yours. But I think you can add a little more than 25.100. I always test ratios a few times in snuff boxes first then once I get best ratio I just do numbers think in’ and come with relative closeness in ratio to fully mix in a larger batch if you’d like too. It’s pretty fun sorry for long drug out response but yeah my friend do a small test of aromas in snuff box or medium box mix and shake a bit, test ratio you will be surprised sometimes by how much in some mixes less is more and Vice Versa. Let me know what you test and if it floats your boat. Very fun I love this hobby, passion… and… addiction. LOL Also as well this snuff community is wonderful bunch of great friends, people. Also if anyone else has great blends/mixes ratios as well please share very fun and interesting. Also trying a method of food grade oils smeared a bit under cap of stored snuffs I only open a bit often to fill daily or nightly use boxes to use. To keep them moist. Salted butter as well smeared a bit on too. On snuffs that WILL be used more often. To keep moist snuffs moist. Have a few test Amber bottles with snuff trying now. We’ll see what happens. Thanks to Roderick being kind and helping me with so many questions. He said butter can be mixed in just a little bit in daily snuff boxes so make sure to use quickly for your daily snuff box. The food grade oils under cap smeared a bit will be for longer kinda storage for snuff jars that need open every now and then to refill small daily use snuff boxes. Now I am trying salted butter in one long storage snuff jar in fridge with the ones with food grade oils. Cold should keep butter ok so won’t go rancid. Also have did butter in daily snuff boxes while at work all day and into the evening. It works!

A

@Johano I hope this makes sense lol I had a long tiring day some brain fog now lol and hope I did ok explanation of testing and ratios,if not feel free to ask anything else or for me to clarify more.

@AlKindiSnuff whats Black Velvet like, its discontinued right?

A

@Johano Yes it was one of Chef Daniels Old Mill creations I bought a bunch of snuff from him and he threw in a couple more snuffs for me Black Velvet was one of them. Using very sparingly as I am pretty much out of his creations I have about between 3-7 grams of a few left. Black Velvet opens up with a citrusy peel note kinda odd, but good. Very nice! Coffee bean notes are there, also a herbal kinda vibe maybe bay leaf to my nose. Coffee notes getting more pronounced that are wonderful and tobacco varietal aromas really kick in well. Quality leafs. It’s a darker snuff medium grind I’d say & medium high moisture. Which it is still moist but not as moist as when I received it long ago so I must be doing something rite since it is still moist just a lil’ bit less moist not much moisture loss just a tad bit. And aromas are all there still. Not a snuff with tons of ingredients but has great tobacco varietals very very nice and that orange or tangerine rhine maybe lemon as well vibe is odd but very nice especially once that settles down the great coffee & Chicory aroma and tobacco’s shine thru. I also get a small small small… hint of liquor to my nose but just enough. Hope this was a good explanation lol sad I won’t be able to get more of this fine artisan snuff. Sorry for late reply had a long long workday

@AlKindiSnuff wow, thats interesting. Sounds really nice to my nose, even tho I am a simple guy when it comes to snuff flavours. I doubt that there are as many artisan snuff makers these days, which is a shame. Theres lot of know-how in snuff making that can only come with years of experience I guess.

A

Yeah Old Mill is wonderful all I owned/own/tried. What a loss to us all. I have very little left, enjoyed every use of them greatly! Sad the man himself and his creations will be forever missed. I also truly like Rosinski too great snuff. Different vibes but still very good. Yeah it is a process for sure to make snuff, a lot of TLC and know how. 50/50 Wow! • American Caramel Poschl • Gletscherprise

I don’t mix snuff but I add scent or flavor to them. Well I correct myself a bit. The Sandalwood from 6 photo is incredibly strong so I add little scoops of it to plain toast types like WoS 22 or FandT High Dry. I used to add menthol crystals to dark moist ones like SG London Brown.

Right now my wood snuff box has a mix of SNAFU, Old Mill Perfecto, and Toque W&H. Also have a round metal box that seals pretty good with a gasket and that has Bayern Prise, Gletcher Prise, and Magic Moments. Both are very nice and they will probably get something else added as they get low. Normally I mix similar snuffs but sometimes I will mix fine dry with course just to see if it works.

A

@willc Yeah nice blends, some times I do singular snuffs and sometimes I love to think up blends that I think will be very nice together. Such a fun hobby, passion! Also meet great human beings on this forum. So much fun. Like your blends. I do the same I have a few snuff boxes including a nice coin one I got from Etsy really cool that I use my blends in. The blend I am gonna mix here soon in my coin snuff box is as follows: 6 Photo • Chocolicious Dholakia • Swiss Chocolate Poschl • Gletscherprise Gold Wow! • Coffee Bite (The last of Coffee Bite sadly, need more been out of stock for awhile)

W

@AlKindiSnuff how is the Toque Ambrosia? I have yet to try it but I did do a Toque order recently and will have a tin in a week or 2.

A

@willc It’s a version of Spanish Gem, but coarser and more moist too. To my nose the scent\\aroma is deeper and more pleasing to me. It’s a great snuff with good Vitamin•N too as well. I’d give it a go. It’s a Toque top favorite for me! Roderick really did well with this one just as much as his other creations. Great stuff any snuffer should not miss out on Ambrosia. Really love it in fact after this Viking•Thor’s Hammer pinch settles in after a bit, I’m doing some Ambrosia next

@AlKindiSnuff I just tried the Gawith Cola and Toque USA W&H and it is quite a nice mixture.

A

@willc Glad my bro, it’s a nice, really nice blend indeed.

A

It’s also good with the Toque • USA Kentucky Bourbon too

A

Sweet Tooth Time! SnuffBox mix of these fine flavored Gems! :Equal Parts: Dholakia • Irish Coffee Dholakia • Coffee Cream Dholakia • Swiss Chocolate Toque • USA Kentucky Bourbon

A

Pretty damn good blend above I tried in box. Takes a little time but all these flavors start to meld together really really well. That Toque Tobacco and flavor really shines with the others. Just may be just as good as my Rum & Coke and Apricot Brandy blends I tried earlier. I know it’s a lot to mix but having a tiny touch of salted butter to give it more moisture & keep it moist in my daily snuffBox plus you have that buttery barely there flaky buttered roll vibe, with the tobacco’s and sweet flavoring, this really hits the Mark for me. Like this one!

W

I had maybe 2g of Poschl Doppleroma in a wood snuff box and added about 3 pinches of Berliner Luft to it and the resulting scent is very much like Gawith Cola but a bit more fresh and flavorful.

A

@willc I will have to try this :•]

A

@willc Can’t wait to receive my Rosinski order should be here, I will try Doppleroma with the Berliner Luft & let you know my thoughts.

A

6 Photo • 666 6 Photo • Chocolicious (I know, I know… A very Strange, Weird mix, but had to try it… it’s actually very nice believe it or not… lol

W

@AlKindiSnuff I think 6 Photo Special is the best of their black snuffs. I am sure you would enjoy it. I just got the Chocolicious a couple weeks ago and it a nice snuff that seems like it would mix well with others. I’ll have to give a go with the 666 medicated. There are infinite possibilities with mixing snuff and most of my mixes turn out pretty good. I really can’t think of any mixture that was too bad.

N

I have a menthol rebound problem but I still love snuffs with menthol. Deadlock? Probably not.

Just mixed 6P LA Natural with 6P Medicated No. 66 in 3:1 ratio.

Result is a subdued snuff I like the flavor of with no more of that nasty rebound.

A

1:1 Bernard — Charivari Poschl — Radford Both Tobacco’s used in both of these snuffs, work very well together beautiful tobacco aromas and the extra menthol from the Poschl–Radford really helps the Bernard–Charivari Almond\\Cherry flavors pop more then add on those nice tobacco aromas\\flavors. Very nice indeed, satisfying.

A

@willc I really adore that Chocolicious. MrSnuff was out of stock on the bigger cans so I have to get 3 small ones blew thru 2 already very very quickly lol love this stuff! So fun to mix and come up with great blends that go together, I really enjoy that 6 Photo - 666 with the 6 Photo - Chocolicious. Sounds like an odd/off blend but oddly I like it very much. Goes well together. Hope you try it my friend. Actually I am getting low on the 6 Photo - 666 as well. Need more of both soon. @newbiesnuffer Yeah I get that a lot with McChrystal snuffs & others rarely but mostly McChrystals. And other medicated snuffs I am fine with perfectly, but… will never stop lol too good of products, very nice grinds and flavors IMHO McChrystals does snuff very well for sure! Also nice blend as well! Love seeing everyone’s ideas/snuff blends I think it’s kool I get a kick outta of it.

A

@willc @Hloridison Sound like great blends will have to score some more Red Bull and also White Elephant and try those blends youz listed

W

I like to keep Red Bull on hand, it is a very strong menthol and I do enjoy a straight pinch of it. For me though I love Red Bull for mixing. I found an old tap box that was about half full and it still has very strong scent but it is drier than normal. I’ve been mixing it with Zwiefacher and Schmalzler D and a bit of menthol brightens them up a bit.

S

Nic Punch followed by Cheeta.

I combined the below and re-named Nic-Punch,

50% MG Madras (6P) + 45% NC (By NC Arya) + 5% Chocholius (6P)

This mix is easy to take. Max.1 drip you may or may not get.

Now, If you need more Vitamin. Take 1-2 pinch of 6Ps Cheeta. It will boost your Focus sky high.

W

@Shaktimaan I just recently tried the 6P Chocolicious and I think it is great for mixing. Occasionally I will do a few pinches on its own but I think it is great to sweeten other snuffs up.

S

Yes, I do agree on that. Chocholious being a 6Ps premium stays on the nose for 4-5 hrs

S

@willc actually I am looking for something which will boost up my focus while doing work. Do you know any such snuff?

H

@Shaktimaan for me it is Dragon Brand Madras from Janta. It has the hardest nicotine hit I know. That helps me to focus.

W

@Shaktimaan the most powerful snuff I have is Toque Rustica. I mostly use that as a mix snuff to boost other blends. Since you are in India have you tried 41Photo White Elephant? That has a nice nicotine kick.

S

@willic Yes I heard about WE many times, but I don’t have 41photos contact number. Being an Indian brand, i don’t think it will be a good idea to order from Mr.Snuff.

W

@Shaktimaan yes it would probably be much less expensive to order it within your country. Plus right now I don’t think the Royal Post is doing international mail. I hope they change that soon.

H

@Shaktimaan http://www.41photosnuff.in/contact-us.php Here you can contact 41Photo

S

Wow! it is like another dimension has opened up. Thank you very much @Hloridison. But, another problem of not selling online is that if I give order then I have to order in bulk. They may not take double or triple product order. This is not the case for Six photo snuff. Still I think it’s worth to try. I will contact them. Let’s see

H

@Shaktimaan you can also contact Janta Naswar. They make really nice stuff. I just ordered 4 cans Dragon madras to Germany. It is a really nice strong plain tobacco roasted in ghee. Very strong and very delicious. They also have a white snuff. You can look at the products on mr snuff and write him a mail. Indiansnuff@gmail.com

W

My work snuff tin at the moment is Toque W&H USA and it was about half full. I added about 1/2 gram of Hedges and about 1/4 gram of Toque Xmas Pudding and the end result is very nice.

S

@Hloridison just a quick query. I have 1 tin of 6ps MG madras. Does Dragon Madras smell similar to MG madras?

H

@Shaktimaan no not a little bit.

S

@Hloridison thank you very much. Now, I think I can go ahead and by a dragon tin without any second thought.

V

@Shaktimaan, it won’t let you down, the Dragon. And yes, it differs from MGM. Each Madras I tried had its own character. Dragon is the most potent, SVS is second strongest (really close to Dragon).

R

Viking Dark + McChrystal’s Mulled Magic is a great combination. Dark, smokey, rich and spicy. I’d say the ratio is 8:2 since MM really packs a clove punch.

A

1:1 Poschl • Gletscherprise Gold FUBAR • SNAFU Medicated

Neti-Pot’d fresh nose with this blend! And Caffè KIMBO • Napoletano Espresso ~O) 1:1 Blend. Wilson’s of Sharrow • Irish No.22 Dholakia • Madras Toast 8-}

H

I have mixed together the last parts of a tin of Jock’s Choice and Tom Buck together with JH Wilson’s SP No. 1. It has made a very potent combination. The Jock’s Choice has come out as the dominant aroma with a nice hit of Bergamot behind it. Update: I found a nearly finished tapbox of Red Crest which I mixed in. Wasn’t happy with the overall aroma so I added some Gold Label which has given it a bit more balance.

A

Sounds like a nice blend will give it a go :]

W

F&T Seville with Toq SP Extra. What is this in my nose? The best thing I’ve ever smelled and it doesn’t fade away. F&T is creme of the crop. I can’t even believe it’s snuff…

W

Two things I did today I don’t regret: 10 grams SP Extra 2 bumps Seville 2 small bumps Redbull I don’t smell the menthol at all. Just a coolness that opens the sinuses for deep olfactory satisfaction. The SP hits first, and remains detectable for a longer while than on its own. The Seville pervades the whole scene of course, but takes a second seat that lasts long after the SP is gone. Very pleasant, but if you don’t like Seville, don’t do it. Also: 5g Viking Dark 5g Santo Domingo 2 bumps Redbull I love VK Dark, but the savor is short lived. This would be perfect otherwise. The Santo Domingo is still a strange concoction to me. I like it, but it’s not pungent enough for all day. These two pair really well together. The SD carries the scent of the Dark for a much longer ride. Menthol is detectable, but really allows the tobacco flavors to hit deep. Very enjoyable.

S

Hi all!

First time posting on this forum, I hope I can add something new and/or interesting to the mix, ha!

I really like Indian snuffs for some reason, so I predominantly operate with them in my mixes. I found that no snuff is perfect for me in their boxed forms, but with a little blending, I can make near-optimal snuff.

The base is 1:1 6p Cheeta and 6p Super Kailash. Sometimes I use White Elephant instead of Cheeta (I know, sacrilege to mix WE, but it works really good). Super Kailash balances out the dryness of the Cheeta, adds some moisture, while the white snuff cuts back on the brutal incense of SK.

When I want to shake things up a little, I add some of the following in smaller amounts (1:5 like):

  • For moar spice: 6p Super Chetak
  • For moar menthol/urinal cake (strange thing to like, but here we are): 6p Krishan Sudama
  • For a more subdued experience: 6p LA Natural

In my last order, sadly I got 400g 6p Kailash instead of Super Kailash, so probably I’ll have to find some uses for black snuff, which I ordinarily use sparingly by itself.

D

Janta Dragon Madras and High Dry Toast- smoky and plenty of nicotine!

A

Bernard Gekachelter Virginie mixed with F&T High Dry Toast

This is one of my favorite natural tobacco snuff mix.
(ratio from 70:30 to 50:50 or even 40:60 Gekachelter Virginie : High Dry Toast)
My preferred ratio is 70:30 - 60:40 Gekachelter : HDT

Mixed well, this creates a snuff very easy to take in big boxcar bumps, super strong in nicotine and Gekachelter as a carrier enhances HDT flavor making the tobacco aroma last more in the nose. The mix is a full flavor natural and toasty snuff. I find it very strong in nicotine and very satisfying.

This mix is like the European edition of the NTSU x Indian White mix.

Usually I dont like to mix snuffs or when I do I end up getting tired of the mix after like some days.
However this mix is a winner for me and I keep it in my rotation for when I want an easy to take strong nicotine natural tobacco snuff to put in my tapbox.
