Snuffs that give a nice "burn."

I’m not talking about the artificial burn from snuffs like Bohica. I’m talking just a straight nicotine burn like I get from SG Black Coffee, Grunt and my Bernard Schmalzers. I get no burn from South Africans and I find that I long for it. What are some nice snuffs that give off that brief and intoxicating burn?

Madras

GH Kendal Brown should do you up right.

The whites - White Elephant, Cheeta, Dholakia White, Willie Pete FUBAR SNAFU

Viking Dark has a really excellent burn. It makes the inside of your nose throb, then a sense of numbness sometimes radiates outwards from the nose. Whites are sharp and, when taken carefully, give more of a sense of dry heat than the real burn you get with heavier snuffs. Heavier snuffs actually sit in the nose in a big pile which feels very different from dust flying through your nose as you inhale and out your mouth as you exhale. I like that sensation but it doesn’t sound like what you’re talking about

I agree that Viking Dark is a good one. I find that the moist, coarse snuffs tend to be good for delivering burn, especially the heavily scented (and salted) F&T snuffs such as Princes or Santo Domingo.

Like you mentioned in the thread introduction FUBAR Grunt. Also, any of the Indian whites for the most part. Dholakia White, SNAFU, Willie Pete, etc.

Black Joe has a short lived burn and the flour is soft ,like the other fubar offerings. Its light in weight but never hits the throat.

Damn it, I meant BOHICA, not Grunt. Mistakes happen I guess.

I get a burn off high dry toast 22 ,but that may just be my body/nose and not yours but still a good snuff to try at the end of the day. p.s lemon toast burns me too its great

I like the burn, but don’t get it very often anymore. WOS Natural seems to have some. WE, WP and the like don’t give it to me (but they do often make me cough). I guess once your tolerance builds up, the burn subsides.

WoS Tom Buck and J&H Wilsons Sp No 1 or Top mill. these are all sp’s with a burn.

I agree with @mouse, a nice madras style snuff offers a good burn.

Any of Sir Walter Scott’s. But it’s a bit delayed, I assume from the coarse grind. But boy is this stuff strong! A few good pinches and it’s a nicotine roller coaster.

I find the burn from Abraxas Cafe 11 to be the most noticeable one, out of the snuffs I’ve tried.

I’ve got a nose full of SG Wild Duck right now. Feels like the same base as the Black Coffee, but with a little peppermint kick added. Nice.

Dholakia White

I’d agree with the OP that SG’s Black Coffee has a good burn on it. It was the second snuff I bought and had my eyes more than a bit watery.

I’ve noticed that SG’s Kendal Brown Plain and Elmo’s Reserve give a nice burn in the nose. I have grown to love it. I have Black Rappee and I like the scent, but I find myself reaching for the first two more often than the latter.

Toque Spanish Gem gives a pleasant burn, and if you are a masochist, Dholakia White will be your cup o’ tea.
