I seem to have rather a problem with this. Perhaps I snuff too hard. Samuel Gawith Kendal Brown doesn’t cause me any problems in this area, perhaps it’s due to being a coarse but non-oil based snuff. I appreciate we’re all plumbed slightly differently but what snuffs do you take that don’t create much or no back drip? Thanks in advance.

T

I seem to get on quite well with Samuel Gawith’s SP No1. High Mill, and Viking Dark. Neither one causes me any issue fore or back. Dry fine snuffs tend to clog me and coarse snuffs tend to make everything drip. It seems a fine line between what works and what doesn’t for me.

Never had backdrip with a toast, have it often w/schmalzers - not sure if it is moisture level or grind size that makes a difference.

T

Havana Toast - utterly lovely in the nose - but a back drip that makes me think of a wet ashtray. I just have to be careful when snuffing it not to overdo it.

Being a newbie and from what I’ve tryed I can say viking blonde is impossible, unless maybe you have a jet engine for a shnoz. Also experienced no drip from Toque: Berwick brown, peach, sp extra and absinthe.

S

it differs by person, I have a slight drip with absinthe. But you should take a drip for granted, in my opinion it belongs to the snuff experience. I like it mostly.

M

I don’t think I’ve ever gotten drip (either way) from White Elephant. A cough, yes, but no drip.

J

I don’t get a drip from Anarkali.

S

Funny, I recently commented to Roderick how none of the Toque products cause any drip for me. Some other snuffs do, but typically only menthols are the ones I don’t care for the drip. That may explain why I only have a few menthols and rarely partake in them.

@Southern_Snuffster‌ I agree, Toque products sit well in the nose and never create drip. Toque snuffs are some of the most consistent out there, and one of my favorites. I’ve found in my short time snuffing that drip can be pretty well controlled by the amount of each snuff taken. I like menthols as much as other snuffs, but they will sometimes cause both throat and nose drip if taken in large amounts. I like this about menthols because it makes the snuff more dynamic IMHO. I can reduce the amount to avoid drip or increase it to create drip. I like a good drip in the morning to open everything up. I never get drip from the drier SWS offerings like St. James, Lundy Foot, and Havana Toast.

If I want to take a snuff that will not leave me with a drip then it’s Viking Blond all the way. In the mornings I want a nice clear-out, so it’s time to reach for the FUBAR Medic. WoS Best SP creates a throat drip too so whenever I take snuffs that tend to I try to be home/alone so I can hock/spit without seeming too revolting (except to myself but that doesn’t count).
