Hi everyone, I’d just like to ask as a relatively new snuffer - is it normal, while say , having a few “brews” to be snuffing every few minutes? ie; I enjoy a line from the back of the hand like this of Tom Buck frequently, while having a drink. Or am I classed as a chronic snuffer? Thanks all!
I think MOST snuffers on here couldn’t stand to be stuck with only one! but anyone that logs onto here could probably consider themselves a connesieur or sorts… I’m too busy thinking “what if I stumble accross something I like more?!” to just stick to one! same thing with going to bed at night- I stay up hoping not to “miss out” on anything though I rarely do…
Thanks Transistor, I meant really, do you snuff more frequently while having a drink?
of course people snuff more when drinking. It’s science. Nicotine and alchool (as well as drugs you aren’t allowed to do, just to nip that part in the bud) are very complimentary in several ways. The combination increases the pleasure of both without increasing the other effects. Also nicotine mildly conteracts the less favorable parts of alchools effect just enough to make the experience more enjoyable. For example nicotine keeps your head clearer, reduces the clumsiness (still don’t go driving it’s not that effective) as well as keeping the visual centers of the brain working a little harder then they normaly would after having that much alchool. So yeah it’s normal and more enjoyable and highly recomended if already drinking. Lastly ever notice some people only use tobacco when drinking it is more then association.
@bob yes, that’s true about cigs - I gave up 5 years ago (smoking) but DID smoke more when drinking - I guess it’s the same with snuff…sorry, had to ask though as I’m certainly enjoying a lot more snuff at the weekends when I have a few beers! Thanks everyone - really appreciate the feedback!
The more I drink, the more I snuff.
After the 11th pint it gets really messy!
She only snuffs when she drinks…
When i start to drink a few beers at home, i take a lot of snuff. Sometimes i pinch all 5 minutes and cant stop. There is so many snuff which goes so well with cold beer.
My snuff for beer is Fribourgh and Tryer Santo Domingo. It’s wonderful together with some Lager.
@Prismaster yes same here - I’ve found I’m getting a blocked nose like a heavy cold on a Saturday night, then fine again through the week…maybe I’ll calm down there a little! May I ask has anyone also snorted too hard into sinuses? I did the other week and it was rather painful…asking as being quite new, is this dangerous at all? Thanks everyone
@kayjay777: I still do sometimes sniff too hard and get snuff too far back there where it shouldn’t be. I don’t know about danger, but it doesn’t feel too good!!! I’ve only snuffed while drinking 1 time. I’m not a frequent drinker, though, and I plan to keep my nose well-snuffed next time. I noticed something strange though. I seemed to feel the alcohol more (felt more light-headed) when snuffing. I had a couple months recently where just a couple of beers would make me feel light headed, which is strange (normally I’d feel nothing from a couple, as I’m a big guy), so it might not have been the snuff.
@sleepinggecko Same here, I’m a big bloke…I dare say its probably to do with you drinking infrequently - if I go a couple of weeks without a beer, then drink with snuff it REALLY gives you a kick!
Just had a few drinks with a constant nose full of snuff the other day. Be careful when you do this because it packs quite the punch. I’m ashamed to say it had me vomiting within 3 hours and I was done. Needless to say… I’ll snuff much less frequently while drinking from now on.
I always crave a good spot of snuff while drinking (I prefer a good schmalzler with beer), but my physiology is such that if I snuff more than a couple little bumps within a couple hours I get bad stuffy nose. My remedy is extra stark snus while drinking.
Thanks guys
I crave snuff variety when drinking, not so much quantity. It’s quite a pleasure to go through different snuffs with drinks and it prevents clogging in my experience.
Beer + lot’s of snuff + inglorious bastards on the tv is heaven for me. Toasts or DL black for me in this case.
More good news from Ireland: Smithwick’s is launching a Pale Ale! There are some Irish pale ales like O’Hara’s and Galway Hooker already but with limited distribution. This is different because Smithwick’s is a national brand owned ny Diageo so you could get that everywhere. Really looking forward trying it, taps and everything is in my local, just waiting for the brew to arrive! Hope the best.
I’m in the U.S.,and I’m rather partial to Toque’s Berwick Brown and Guiness extra stout…Heavenly!!!
