Woke up today in TN on a slightly snowy day. I live on the Gulf Coast, so the weather is usually warm and humid. I took my usual amount of snuff this morning, but found it to be less enjoyable than normal; it seems I had a lot more dip going on this morning. Has anyone else noticed their tastes in snuff change when they change climates?
In Poland, where I live, we can have 20 degrees one week, and -20 degrees another. Weather in my country really depends, but I don’t really know what of. It is sometimes >30 C, sometimes <-30 C. But I hate winter and it snowed yesterday. And today. And tomorrow probably will be too. Take me out of there, somewhere where is always hot and Sun shines all the time.
Yes! It is incredibly arid where I live, & I find that I need to use some spray nasal saline a couple of times per day to get the total character of many dry but coarse snuffs. Also temperature variation in a single day is crazy; in March it may be 20F (-7C) at night and as warm as 75F(24 C) in the afternoon thus I tend to carry a wide variety of snuff types to compliment the weather at morning afternoon and night. Also when I have visited the Pacific NW vs. Dallas TX vs. home in Albuquerque the same tin of snuff can have very different aspects.
well I have noticed on hot humid days I prefer drier finer snuffs the most and on more dry cold days the coarser snuffs are more pleasurable. Also they change how agreeable each is to me.
It is very dry where I live, making the fine and dry snuffs difficult to enjoy. With the winter fully setting in I have pretty much shelved all my finer snuffs, just can’t take any of me without getting clogged up and generally not very enjoyable. I prefer the snuffs that have a bit courser grind and on the moister side, but the climate here has made it near impossible for me to snuff anything fine and dry even when I want to.
