Apologies to anybody who was trying to get on to the forum in the last 12 hours. Everything went belly up around 3am UK time due to a problem with our provider. We have now moved Snuffhouse over to a new provider and this should mean the forum is faster and more reliable.

Along the way we had to update our theme to the latest version. I think it is a bit cleaner and easier to use, but don’t worry, none of the data was affected.

I for one would prefer linear arrangement of posts instead of blocks. Scrolling is getting on my nerves. I wish we were still on good old Vanilla forum version (or any other oldschool, mobile-unfriendly forum platform).

I’m having trouble accessing the website on my PC. I’ve been getting ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH for several days now. I have tried several methods available on the Internet to solve this problem, but nothing works. Any ideas?

Edit: by the way, the problem only happens on Chrome

In and of itself it’s rather graceful. Personally I’m somewhat change adverse when it comes to logos and the like, but actually the new one fits in nicely with the new look.

Please leave the old logo. Too much changes… I’m still shocked by the transition from good old forum format (even though Vanilla had its own bugs and glitches) to this modern mobile-friendly scroll-to-death version.

No issues with Brave browser.

I fixed my problem by deleting the tab and creating a new one. It turned out that I could enter through the search engine, but not through the old page tab.

Indeed, I noticed it as well (should have mentioned, really), yet found such bypass annoying. Trying to access homepage from the address bar returns 403 Error.

I downloaded Firefox (I use Brave) to test the forum out and it was fine. Actually, I think it would be suprising if there were problems with a major browser because the new forum runs on a hosted Discourse setup, which means it should be both stable and compliant.

However, your 403 error is interesting. That code means the server recognises your request as valid but has decided, for security reasons, not to serve it. This may be because you are using an old url that has old data appended to it that the server doesn’t like.

Try opening a new tab with the root url https://www.snuffhouse.com to see if that makes a difference.

My browser doesn’t autocomplete the root url correctly (adds http:// instead of https://www.).

I agree this new logo is crap, bring back the old one please.

This new logo is getting kinda annoying, its an eyesore and very distracting. Why is there a bright orange house in the corner of my screen this is snuffhouse not home hardware.
