not a bad idea-- most of the time, I snuffhouse @ work, so I’d have little time for a chat room but I can pop in now and again to post-- or like today, I can contribute often because it’s slower than normal here at work… I would think that A LOT of people WOULD be interested though… With the caveat that @cstokes4 @xander would probably ask us for well-deserved donations to make such a thing happen 
But I dunno if such costs anything— I’m not much up on web stuffs

who said anything about it being anonymous? Like i have suggested previously, we could have a passworded chat with the pass in a thread only visible to members and changed periodically. i guess we could do something like teamspeak or google hangout, but im not really confident enough for voip.

Yeah, great idea but it does seem to always have disastrous results when tried.
Seems like the forum already facilitates good conversations. I don’t know that any of my questions about snuff are so urgent or my opinions so illuminating that they require a real time response. Asynchronous communication, such as email, is pretty civilised, it lets people read and reply in their own time.
Well as long as required to use your snuffhouse name as screenname then can crossreferance. Use xat chat you have to be accepted in I’ve made chats before on it and worked for other forums I’m on.
@Firestarter0 If you can point me to a chat client that is able to be integrated, I’d be more than happy to try and work it in. I wouldn’t need it to be username specific, just need an IP address to be visible so I can cross-reference.

I’ve looked into using Chatroll on another site where I admin. It seems like the way to go. I’m haven’t tried it (yet), so I’m not sure it has the IP exposure cstokes4 is looking for. Its free up to a certain # simultaneous users, too, which is as much of a feature as a limitation, in my mind, especially in our limited sphere. It’s hard to have a coherent conversation past a certain number of users, anyway, IMHO. I like the idea of a chat window, but after experiencing our last go of it, I am hesitant to try it here, and on the other site I referred to before.
