Snuffhouse History...

Been in and out of here on and off for years and know of the changes that have taken place in the last few years. Some pretty dramatic, some tragic and what seem to me to be a fist to the face of all of us suffers. Tons of stuff about snuff history but what about our Snuffhouse history… Thought I’d address what should be considered as a topic here to preserve past, present and future.

The person who could really delve into the early days would be Tony Barr, aka. ermtony. I’m not even sure he’s still with us. Do any of the brits know (of) him?

I did a few trades with ERMTONY many years ago. His site seems to still be active but I don’t know if he’s still “around” I recall he was having health issues.

my first question is how long has the site even been around? what year did it all start?

I first encountered it circa 2000. That’s why I was hoping someone knew one of the early major contributors, for just such questions.

It just occurred to me that our best chance might be @MrSnuff as he and Tom supplied the world (with scotches at least) around the dawn of the board. Dunno if Dave has customer records from the early pioneers like, ermtony, snuffynose, xander, troutstroker, etc., but I suppose anything’s possible.

I would guess '98/99 because I did get sample from Jaap back then, not sure house else I would have encountered him. Not gonna lie, I still have the sample of non-tobacco snuff he sent. Only tried it the once.

We just had 10 yrs in November 2016. Alex started the group sold it to Nigel [Abraxas] who sold it to David Anderson [MrSnuff]

a lot of people posted on here before I remember troutstroker
