As of now I am the new owner of Snuffhouse. This has happened as Alex, a very busy man, has increasingly less and less time available to him because of his business life. We discussed this at length over the weekend; Alex wanted the site, ideally, to be taken over by one of the community and where I am in my own life dovetails perfectly with this. Whilst I am in possession as of now there will be a handing over period as Alex shows me the finer points of the site administration. I’m also working from an iPad at the moment due to a catastrophic PC crash at home, so Alex will be pushing the buttons for a few days yet. He will still be around as a valued member and will always have a special position here as the founder of the world’s premier snuff site. Business as usual then. Nigel. Ps. I have just sunk what’s in your mailbox/nose threads as we are getting top heavy with stickies.
Congrats man, although its sad to hear Alex no longer has enough free time to manage the site I’m glad he passed it on to you. I’m sure you’ll do a great job.

I would like to personally thank you for assembling this fine if somewhat eccentric gathering of souls from all over the world, and allowing us to both submerge and indulge ourselves in our most obscure pastime! I didn’t know the nose/mailbox threads were so popular, so they are back. Removing them wasn’t designed to upset you, you know! It’s just that you can end up with half the screen gone with stickies, these will stay though.

I now you’ll do great with it. As a long time memeber this makes me happy. It did become obvious that Alex was much busier with things obviously more important then this site (I say that in all seriousness). Also it will be interesting to see Alex here without him having to play any particular role. I’am guessing there is a good chance we’ll see a little more of the man.

@snuffster - Sticky’s drive me nuts too! It is a plaque, and really the nose and mailbox does not have to be a sticky, it would rise and fall as used, and let us know when somebody posts something new. I know its a big job and I am glad you are at the helm, best of luck and thanks!

You can unsticky anything for your personal view. On the main page, on the far right of an Announcement thread you can mouse over and a box that says “Options” lights up. If you click that, you have the option to “Dismiss” click “dismiss” and then the Anouncement thread will behave like any other thread, and rise and fall depending on recency.
Let the good times roll. Cool article in the mag too. This practically obligates you to do another one now. Good luck then.
Now, if Alex passes over to the DARKSIDE and becomes a resident troll, it may be rather tricky to get rid of the feller, since he keeps all the passwords and such things in his little notebook. This could get interesting…

A big thanks for all the public, and private, messages of support - it means a great deal to me. As I know from taking over from successful people in my professional life I know the main thing is to not break or ruin the founders hard work, that is something you have my total guarantee for. Try to be gentle if I don’t get everything spot on to begin with. To assist me with this I have asked Xander and Cstokes to join me on the mod team and I’m pleased to say both have agreed. I’m sure they will both do a great job. I’m sure Alex will have some words to say at some point but let me just round up by saying a big thank you to him for his pioneering website. As any long time snuff forum watcher will agree, there have been several sites that have just dropped off the net or are left to decay. This will not happen to snuffhouse.

Crap…how did I not see this earlier. I’m an old softie and change usually scares me so I hate to see Alex hand over the site. However, snuffhse is still in capable hands luckily. I haven’t been a member of this site for long but respect to Alex and Snuffster/Nigel for making it a welcoming forum. As a newbie, I appreciate the fact that we can all discuss snuff, and also have fun with OT stuff - and that political and religious topics are specifically discouraged. Those particular topics can cause problems and heated debate that gets out of hand, so hopefully this can be a place where we can generally all get along without any nastiness!
