I use a text-based email client and I get pretty ugly subject lines in email from Snuffhouse.org. Something like this: … div style="text-align:center; … Let’s fix that! I’m guessing it’s in the forum templates somewhere.
I’m not even sure what you’re talking about. Snuffhouse e-mail? Maybe @cstokes4 knows something.
I think you mean the notification emails? I use Gmail and it works great
Yes he is referring to the notification emails that get sent out automatically when someone sends a message or you earn a badge. They always have a load of HTML in the subject line such as : "[
] You earned the 100 Comments badge." I also use GMail and it shows up in the subject line there as well. Posting it in here does not work properly as the forum software interprets the HTML rather than showing it as plain text.
Just turn the notifications off. It’s on my list of things to address with Vanilla, but there are other things in front of it at the moment.
@cstokes4 Notifications switched off. The email subject header did not particularly bother me - I was simply confirming what @DocCherry said about these emails as there seemed to be some confusion. Good luck with the other Vanilla issues - your hard work is very much appreciated.
No big deal, wait, it might be fixed… I just saw one with 100% less html. Sorry to be a whiner.
