Since you guys have become like some kind of weird extended family, I thought I would share some really big news. Well, big for me anyway. I’ve been living in Phoenix, AZ for the last 4 years, where I work as a wildlife biologist for a federal agency. Anyway, I just found out Wednesday that I was selected for a position in Wenatchee, WA. It’s basically the same job, with the same agency, just a different location. The major differences being the population density and the quality of life. I’ll be leaving the 5th largest metropolitan area in the US, with absolutely miserable summers; and heading to a town of around 30,000 and an idyllic climate for me. The town is bifurcated by the Columbia river and sits at the base of the Cascade Mountains, on the eastern side. I’ll soon be fishing, hunting, skiing, hiking, and chilling like a mofo. I can’t tell you guys how excited I am about this change. I’ll probably be posting very little toward the end of October, but I won’t be gone for long.

Thanks for all the good wishes folks. Tomorrow is the big day, oops it’s already tomorrow. Anyway, the movers will be here shortly, and I’ll be traveling and then living in Temporary quarters until I find a house. Good luck and be safe. Sounds like a great place to move to. Your job sounds like it would be a lot of fun and involve getting out of the office and working in nature. Plus working for the govt. probably has some good benefits.
Greetings Snuffegnugen! I’m in East Wenatchee. Have you ever been to that little cubby hole cigar/pipe shop next to The Antique mall on Wenatchee Ave.? I was in there this past Dec. but I don’t recall him selling any snuff. I haven’t been in the tobacco/head shops like the one next to the China Buffet in Wenatchee in awhile but as I recall they did sell some snuff there in the past. I used to live in AZ years ago too - Chandler.
