Snuff Stuff (Not boxes)

Apologies if there is already a thread on this - I couldn’t find anything.

Does anyone collect snuff ephemera?
I saw this Victorian Postcard on eBay (I did bid but it’s now out of my price range).

I recently bought this mirror which I think is quite nice.

Does anyone else have anything snuffy?

I can’t see your picture. Anyway, I generally carry a small pocket mirror in my breast pocket. I use it to check my nose when in public places. Also I always carry a handkerchief or two of course.

The image is showing up for me, and it’s quite nice. As for collecting myself, I’m too preoccupied with snuff itself for that kind of stuff, and I already collect too many other things. Doesn’t cost anything to admire it though!

Still not showing for me. I get that a lot. Must be some browser-y thing that I don’t understand.

The Victorian postcard went for £70+. wow!

I have a letter from the 30s from Samuel Gawith to a tobacconists in Northern England regarding them making a contract snuff for them, was about £1 on ebay, apart from my small collection of out of print snuff books that is it for me. I’ve always been far more interested in the snuff and snuff boxes which I have a small, but good collection of - minuscule compared to some, but keeps me happy. My favourite snuff collectable is my set of Smith’s Cardinal range and a few long gone snuffs like ‘Town Clerk’. All in glass and from the Vivien Rose period, plus a few pre WoS Fribourg’s.

I have a small collection of antique snuff, unopened tins and bottles with tax seals intact.Probably paid too much I did just bid on some levi garret in ceramic jars twelve sealed three empty. rare then I stopped myself.
I got an old Japanese risque snuff spoon. and some paraphernalia from some old head shop; mirror, blade, harley davison spoon, two viles and tanned leather tri- fold to carry it all in.I been acquiring boxes of yesteryear’s ,bone ,papier mache, pewder, sterling, rosewood, turtle shell. Basically anything snuff related I will collect.Just another one of my sicknesses

Anything related to snuff. I love snuff boxes. Mainly brass and pewter. I have wood and the bernards plastic. I have a cardboard box from dunhills with little plastic snuff containers. next to each one is a bigger container for the actual snuff. yesterday, I was outbid on a book about Kendal snuff. I love the history and lore. Years ago, I had a collection of empty snuff cans from F&T and Smith’s. (wife dumped them) I LOVE SNUFF!

I think you can still get the Kendall book easily.

@ELMOS   the dunhill box sounds interesting any chance of a pic ??
