Alright, I’ve been using snuff for a year. I saw those snuff snorters when I started & I always wondered why anyone would want them. I still don’t understand. Does anyone have them? Do you use them? They seem useless to me.
Do you mean bullets or the single/double pronged snorters? I use a bullet for in public. It’s cold outside so my hands are stiff, it goes dark earlier, there’s people around and certain situations you don’t want to stick powder up your nose, and it’s windy. It’s just conveniance. If that’s what you meant.
No not bullets. Those open ended tubes that you snort with.
well I use mine to clean up spills on my desk where I fill my snuff boxes and bullets, I hate to waste so I clean it up.
Oh right. I think they’re for cocaine mainly, but they have to call it a snuff snorter or say it’s for that otherwise it’s illegal to sell it. When I use one it brings the snuff straight down my throat so it’s probably only intended for cocaine.
Echoing @Theatre, they’re designed for other substances, but they work perfectly fine for nasal snuff as well. The only thing you really have to worry about is the force of your sniff, if you pull to hard, it’ll go straight down to your feet; the trick is to sniff very lightly. Like @Gimpy1261 mentioned, they’re perfect for cleaning up spilled snuff off of a desk, or for getting those last few specks out of a snuffbox, but I’m not a fan of them for general consumption.
I bought mine as a sniffer/snorter, but it turned out to be something called a ‘bat’ or ‘one hitter’. Apparently it’s a weed thing. It still works well enough for snuff, but it has to be the right snuff. I can use it on HDT and have it land exactly where I want it to, and in enough quantity that I only have to futz with it once, versus tons of pinches to get what I need. Most other snuffs end up going somewhere I don’t want them too at a very high rate of speed.
I clean up my tabletop spills by gathering it on my finger and sucking it up that way. Beware of this method if you just ate Blue Diamond Jalapeno Smokehouse almonds. The seasoning looks just like snuff, but it nowhere near pleasant in the nose. O_o
…what kind of shop is stupid enough to sell a one-hitter as a snorter, ugh. No offence to you, Dogwalla. Anyway, yeah, they are used mainly for illegal powdered drugs and crushed pills. Personally, I thing a rolled up dollar bill works just as well as any snorter…for just snuff use, of course.
Yeah I have bought snuff accessories at head shops that market them for illegal drugs, if its smoking them or snorting them, they have multiple uses I guess.
I got my acrylic bullet at a head shop. When I said it would be perfect for my snuff they gave me that ‘Yeah right. *wink*’ look.
…I can’t blame them for that one…most headshops you go to you need to talk “in code” to get what you are looking for, so when they hear that, they guess you are just another one of their…usual patrons.
Why would you need a snorter/tooter anyways? Are pens that hard to get a hold of? I was always a pen guy myself.
I haven’t had a tube pen in forever. I always end up with the fancy ones for some reason.
I took Harlequin’s advice and rolled up a bill, it works with WAY less force than the bat, making it really easy to get the snuff where I want it.
The reason I like having a snorter around? if I only have a snuffbox (see thread about crappy bullet sizes) I can open it a tiny ways and get a portion into my nose even if it’s windy. We get 30+ mph wind here fairly often, so it’s a real concern. We also had a 80+ mph microburst hit the other day. I wouldn’t be worrying about snuff if I was outside in that though.
Does your bat have a little cap that screws off on the big end? Or a large opening? If so, jam that hard into some pipe tobacco and give it a whirl. After its cached just smack the bat around on a table or something to empty it.
Its hilarious they sold you a bat as a snorter.
I have all three sizes of Schnifter snorters. I like to use them once in a while. The “elephant” model is the easiest way for me to take taxi red.
