I do like those prices.
I can’t imagine buying a 10 pound jar of snuff. I thought Norrkopping sounded like a snus name and I found this. “There were three sugar refineries in the Port of Norrkoping, and a large snuff industry was booming.” I wonder if it was dry snuff or closer to snus.
@crullers according to Lonely Planet the Norrköping Fiskmagasinet(Norrkoping Fishmarket) is in a converted snuss factory so this is likely the case.

That’s very cool. Thanks @Ivan.
Jag skulle vilja gå till lobbybaret.
@Jari_T you went to this restaurant ? Or you are planning to go?
@Ivan No, I’m afraid I haven’t visited it. My comment was a half drunken attempt to flex my shriveled language muscles. But back to the topic. I, too, think that it’s very likely that Norrköping might have been a snus rather than snuff.
If one searches the same vintage Sears Roebuck catalog, one can also find among other things, cocaine tooth drops, syrup for “calming restless infants” than contained a heaping helping of deordized tincture of opium, and hashish candy, also recommend to calm restless children. LOL And the most restrictive, uncomfortable women’s undergarments in history. Wish I could see the image. Would have loved to hear the list. Peace and a jolly nose-full.

@Uncle_Squinty: Hey Uncle, good to have back here! I transcribed the photo below. It’s a list of only four snuffs, and one of them might actually be a snus. The Norrkoping, obviously.
- Maccaboy, 2, 5, and 10 pound jars. $0.50 per pound, $0.55 in 1 pound jars.
- Rappee, 2, 5, and 10 pound jars. $0.50 per pound, $0.55 in 1 pound jars.
- Norrkoping, 2, 5, and 10 pound jars. $0.50 per pound, $0.55 in 1 pound jars.
- Garrett’s Scotch Snuff, 1 ounce tins, Per dozen 70 cents, each 6 cents.
Cheers! @Uncle_Squinty , I wrote contents in this post in case you didn’t notice.
