Snuff retailers list needed.

Well I don’t know about the rest of you folks, but I’m just a simple old soul who is confused as all get out about who’s in the snuff business post-Pact, where they’ve ended up, names etc. If it’s allowed by the mod, could we have a thread were the retailers who frequent this site identify themselves, where they are and how to get hold of them? Business name as well as walking around name? If its just me and my slow brain and my near illiteracy on computers ignore this. Help this addle-patted old coot spend some money. What I’d like is to find ONE source for ALL my snuff, develop a business relationship and get things nice and simple. I also need an outfit that accepts money orders and has a site that makes that doable.

I would like, too, to know exactly what the rule is for shipping non-commercially, person-to-person from U.S. to Canada. I know this is off-topic, wildwilliam, but you and I were just talking about this subject very recently. So, maybe it’s also back to: what’s the law regarding commercial shipping from U.S. to Canada (and everywhere else).

Yes, a sticky on all this would be most welcome, but aside from you this proposal has so far gone over like a lead balloon. Have to see if any of the sellers get on this. Perhaps most of the folks on here are not quite as slow in the brain pan as me:-)

we welcome your business: MrSnuffDave

@wildwilliam, I cannot speak for the retailers, just my own experience ordering snuff from abroad (all quite recently): NicotineRush - Tom is on here as Bakdoor. He is still located in the good ole USA, but he ships to Canada via post. He has great service, and the most Canadian-friendly packaging you will encounter (you will understand when you get your parcels). Shipping and prices appeared reasonable (or at least competitive). I had great experiences with him so far. He has a very wide selection too, so he could answer your “one source” request. Wilsons (SharrowMills-online) - the marketing manager has posted on here, but I cannot find his nic right now. They are located in Britain so they don’t care about PACT or similar. The shipping prices seem a bit high to me, but probably realistic, and they ship via Royal Mail. They label their parcels very clearly, but my last parcel was inaccurately declared - it contained about 400g of tobacco but they put the shipping weight (2kg) rather than tobacco weight. Had customs decided to charge me, I would have paid something like $600 in taxes for the $70 order (BC is very harsh, as you are no doubt aware - as near as I can figure, tobacco taxes run about 35-40 cents per gram of tobacco). So, Wilsons could have really screwed me, but I got lucky. Of course, labeling mistakes happen too. I will try them again for some F&T that I am interested in. Obviously the only sell Wilsons/F&T snuffs, so for your “one source” desire - would only work if you only wanted Wilsons snuff… Toque - Roderick is on here as “Roderick” with a Toque logo next to his name, and posts quite a bit. Also located in Britain, so PACT doesn’t have any bearing on shipments to Canada. Ships via Royal Mail, and shipping is “free” (included in the price, which is already pretty low). I had good service and Roderick also answered all my stupid newbie questions via email. He also declares his parcels very accurately, and I had bad luck with customs - they held up my parcel for about 10 days, opened it, spilled the contents, AND charged me about $35 in duty on a $30 order (and since I ordered a whole bunch of bullets, the “grams of tobacco” I had in that package were low). I will still order from there again, as soon as I figure out 5 more flavors that I want besides Berwick Brown (which I really enjoyed). I know I am taking my chances, but others report that they aren’t as mistreated by Customs as I have been. Again, they only sell Toque, making your “one source” desire a little difficult unless you find Toque flavors that are your all-day, everyday. Those are the only ones I have done biz with so far. I will order from Mr. Snuff too, once his stock fills out (as he has or will have stuff the others don’t). I hear good things about Dave also, and as you can see from his post above, he is on here as “mr.snuff”. Hopefully you won’t take this as anything other than my desire to be helpful, but why do you need “one source”? Best Regards, Geraldo

Have you guys read the FAQ section? Specifically the online shops section? Granted its a bit out of date, but most of the info is still valid there. Ermtony has a very up to date list of retailers on his own site: http://ermtony.pbworks.com/Snuff+Links

Thanks for the info Gentlemen, that is very helpful. As to ‘one source’, it’s not a requirement, it’s just that I find it easier and simpler for my poor old brain to keep things straight that way. It also keeps the girls at the back happier when buying MO’s.
