I’ll try upwards of 20 different snuffs a day, but it seems that in the mornings and evenings, I have a very set routine of snuffing-- starting with FUBAR Doolali Tap, Hedges L260, and Schweiser Menthol. After that, I take a big ole blow, then proceed with the rest of my snuffing day (also, whenever I get stuffed, this regimen works wonders). In the evening, I like to hit it off with Viking Thor’s Hammer, then finish with a schmalzler (lately it has been Sternecker Echt Fresco), and then another big blow. Keeps me nicotine satisfied, and moisturized. Anyone else have a sort of snuffing routine?

S

Lately I’ve been on a huge scotch kick, everything else is getting neglected. Hope the shelf life on Madras is just a suggestion, I’ve still good a lot of that but can’t seem to get it into the day.

Z

I tend to be just the opposite. I’ll take any snuff anytime. The only pattern for me is Rooster first thing in the morning.

No patterns or routines here

M

I tend to take some light fruity/ flowery and menthol in the morning and during the day it’s everything in the evening I like the more natural snuff with more nicotine.

P

@Marielle32 Have you tried WoS Wallflower yet? I’m not a huge fan of florals, but this, I admit, is amazing.

T

Currently, it’s Packard’s Club first thing, followed soon thereafter by Poschl Alpina. I’ll do whatever I feel like the rest of the day (Stok Banana), but at some point in the evening it’s either Bernard Zwiefacher or Klostermischung, and before bed a noseful of 6P Kailash, Super Kailash, or Anarkali. This will doubtless change within a week.

M

@Pompeius unfortunately not yet. On my next order I will think of this one

P

@Marielle32 It’s $0.99 right now

M

Thanks @Pompeius but if I place another order before I even empty a tin I think I am in big trouble…

Z

@Marielle32 Buy early, buy often, That’s where the fun is.

M

@Zanaspus I know but my collection is growing very rapidly already…

S

I hadn’t emptied the first tin for quite a while, I kept getting more and wanting to sample what I got etc hehe. It’s nice to save them too, snuffs can develop after opening. Even Madras which I don’t think makes much sense, after my nc arya is open for a few days it seems to get more savory.

It seems buying and getting snuff in the mail is just as addictive as the snuff itself :]

I originally answered “No patterns or routines here”, but on reflection I maybe ought to amend that… The prevailing trend with me, is ignoring whatever the hell I had planned to do. Mix up a box of plain and potent to make a thoroughly satisfying all dayer, and I’ll be dipping in and out of other tins all day. Pull out a range of tins, and I’ll stick with one or two of them. Load three snuff boxes, and I’ll use one up and the other two will dry out and need rehydrating. Another trait of mine is the dregs box. I have spent heck knows how much money on a myriad of fine snuffs, but most days I’ll have a good pinch or several from this screwed up, dried out, ever changing chaotic mix. It’s normally quite good too. This “living blend” tends to fill up as quick as I pinch from it, and so there is normally around 3/4 of a Wilsons slidebox on the go. So my regime is assess the day ahead, plan, prepare, ignore the plan, make it up as you go along, enjoy some good snuff, waste some good snuff, mix up the wasted snuff, and snuff it anyway. Yeah, I think that pretty much sums it up

Wake up get out of bed, drag a comb across my head, go down stairs and grab a cup ,Oh wait that a beetles song.

No regiment here  I do like a white for nicotine a black for decongestant and the rest is a flip of the coin. Today it was 14 Bernard’s I rotated through. Tomorrow I may go on an SP kick or a Menthol binge. Or cycle through my Artisan collection. So many snuff so little time.

This what is commonly referred to round these parts as (SAD) Snuff Acquisition Disorder

For Snuff boxes (SBAD)  For Pipes (PAD) & Tobacco (TAD) We all suffer from these afflictions from time to time. Your in good company!

Then there is @Stogie Law = As soon as you hit the send now button you realizes there is one more snuff you wanted to order.    :((     Happens to the best of us. :D

P

@basement_shaman Yup, got a TAD of SAD … not sure if I could afford SBAD, but I restore estate pipes (get them as low as $3 ea.), so PAD is cheaper fer me :]

S

I know exactly how you feel,I have bad case of SAD, does not help that it takes 3weeks or more to arrive , so I tend to find more as I wait. We used to call it the tyranny of distance. It is a long way from most snuff makers, any tobacco is so expensive in Australia. And will admit to being a snuffwhore as well, not too many I don’t like.

U

My only real regimen is when I wake up. I set two alarms 10-15 minutes from each other before I go to bed. When the first goes off, I sit up and take a snuff. I lay back down and go back to sleep until the second goes off. At that point, the nicotine has kicked in and I’m ready to start my day.
