So I listen to a lot of different podcasts, pipes and cigar podcasts as well as some other topics. But I’ve been a bit hard pressed to find a podcast dealing with snuff. There are a few different YouTube channels about snuff which are interesting to watch but I usually listen to the podcasts while I’m working or driving. Does anyone out there know of anything like this? Sometimes they can be a pain in the butt to find so I just figured it would be easier to ask.
Never thought about it. I have one of those radio faces.but I don’t know of any pods to cast from. I am sure I could find various subject about snuff to talk about for hours on end. Rant and raves on new and old. Accessories and new products, storage and news from various sources. Interviews with some of the artisans Etc. Other tobacco related :-@. If I had any technical abilities to develop, edit and launch such a thing. ^#(^
I would love to hear @basement_shaman! Maybe someone on here could get you moving in the right direction, maybe it could be an Association thing where the people that represent snuff and snuff users could combine thoughts? Love the idea here.
@J_S only problem is that I am currently deaf
@basement_shaman Sorry, I did not realize that. I can see how difficult that would make it.
@J_S Hopefully I can get it fixed soon :-/. It is a real pain for everyone I try to communicate with :-q . I watch action programs because I can’t hear the dialog %-( . At least here I can type to converse :)] . I pay the phone bill each month just to keep my number ~X( . Funds I could spend on tobacco. :))
@basement_shaman I too hope you are able to get it fixed. Cannot image the difficulty you are having with it. Glad to know that the Drs. think that it can be corrected.
Well after this post and my somewhat extensive search I’ve been giving some serious consideration to starting my own podcast about all kinds of different tobacco related products, snuff, pipes, cigars and anything else I can come up with. I have most of the stuff to start one.
That’s the pioneer spirit =D>
Well to be honest the last several weeks I’ve been listening to the Pipes Magazine podcast and it’s been getting a little old. I started listening to another that I found about pipe smoking and again I’m not really getting much out of it. They all seem to following a similar play book and after a half dozen shows or more you start to hear the same thing. I’ve noticed that they all start out with the idea that they are going to be accessible to people who are new to the “hobby” of pipe smoking… Then they immediately jump into a discussion about Dunhill pipes or Savinelli or something like that. I’ve been smoking pipes for years and I don’t own a freaking Dunhill or Savinelli… Most newcomers I know have a cob or a no name basket pipe from the local B&M. How is that accessible to newcomers. They never really cover anything of interest regarding news or information about tobacco such as laws being passed or things of that nature. I can’t tell you how many interviews with “artisan pipe maker” I’ve listened to and everyone of them says something like, they let the briar speak to them or just work organically with the natural grain of the wood blah blah blah… So you do what all the other artisan pipe makers do… Great… I agree with you 100% @basement_shaman I would love to hear more interesting questions, better news, history and information about snuff makers, pipe tobacco companies and cigar makers. Even just interviews with regular old B&M owners and the current state of the industry as it relates to them. Talk to snuff makers and find out what makes their snuff unique. Now… I just need to find the time to do all of this Hahaha…
If you have not already, you could try this link, that describes a pipes magazine podcast on snuff. I am not sure if this is what you were referring to but here it is, if you don’t know about this one specifically. http://www.snuffhouse.org/discussion/9471/snuff-discussed-on-pipes-magazine-radio-show-on-the-internet#latest
@fredh thanks for the link. I listen to the pipes magazine radio show from time to time and enjoy it. Lots of good information to be had on there but after a while the shows start to run together… I don’t recall if I’ve listened to this one specifically I will have to go through my Stitcher account and see if I have or not.
