These snuffs and a few Snuffhouse snuffboxes are my currently saved in my cart at mistersnuff.com. Would you suggest a snuffer of a few months add or deduct from this? I’ve had and enjoyed the Best Dark, Prime Minister, Shot of Rum, and the rest I’ve read about in posts here on the forum or at snuffreviews.com. Toque: Toffee 10g x2 Quit 25g Spanish Gem 25g Whiskey & Honey 25g FUBAR: Snafu Plain 30g Snafu Medicated 30g Shot of Rum 50g Wilsons of Sharrow: Best Dark 25g Prime Minister 25g Tom Buck 25g Fribourg & Treyer: High Dry Toast 25g Old Paris 25g Viking: Dark 25g Greatly appreciate your opinions!!
i might suggest a wilson’s super medicated (SM500 i love) as a menthol, and be careful with the HDT, its a great snuff, but toasts are very fine and dry. otherwise im not sure, what does everyone else think?
@Firestarter0 Yeah, I will probably have to ease my way into the Toast, but i wanted to at least try it, and if I cant keep it in my nose and out of the throat, I’ll store and revisit. From what I’ve read/heard, the F&T Toast is an excellent example
Where are the Bernards? Amostrinha and Fichtennadel are must-be.
@Viertel Are they mostly schmalzers? I’ve had some Ozona snuffs that are schmalzers and I dont really find them very appealing…
Ozonas are not schmalzlers either Fichtennadel and Amostrinha.
@Viertel Oh… Maybe I should do some research. I should probably read this: http://snuffhouse.org/discussion/3016/snuff-terminology-101-schmalzer Thanks!
I can tell you, that if you compare Ozonas to other snuffs you’ll find Ozonas a little bit… shallow. Tiresome. I do really recommend Amostrinha. And if you want to try real schmalzler - buy Aecht Altbayerischer or Brasil Feinst. This is great sn/tuff.
If you’re easing your way into toasts, you probably want to put back the Snafus for now. I don’t know them personally, but I understand they are extremely fine and dry.
That looks like a solid first order to me. There are a half-dozen of my favorites I’d want to add but who wants to spend over 100 bucks on their first order? Once Mistersnuff gets Samuel Gawith again (they must have had to make an entirely new batch which can take months) I’d get Kendal Brown Original for sure. Also you may like Indian snuffs. As basement_shaman says they’re a whole different ball-game.

WoS Irish Toast no. 22! And WoS Irish High Toast no. 22!
Yes those are good ones. Irish Toast is No 21, though. Its very plain and simple. IHT is 22 and toasty and smokey. Quick review for newbies to the WoS toasts (which perpetually cause confusion): No. 20 Irish D.H. Toast - something of a lightly toasted SP. Bergamot scented and not very fine ground. No. 21 Irish Toast - Plain, lightly toasted, medium fine grind. Not especially common. Seems to be seen more in German webshops than UK ones. No. 22 Irish High Toast - Highly toasted, fine grind, smokey buttery robust taste. Very popular.
@Xander @Viertel @horus92 Thanks! Appreciate all you’re comments. I think I’ll at least try the fine and dry snuffs. Worst case I mix them with something more moist. I have tried 6 Photo med No. 66 which I liked, but the medicated/methols tend to block me up, so I’m staying away for now ( except for snafu med I guess ) Xander, thanks for the Toast break down, super helpful! I might add one of those also. I’m just trying to get some variety with this order.
6 Photo Special - best decongestant Taxi Blue I say red but unavailable -a bit barnyardish course and moist, slow nicotine hit Bernard Aecht Alt Schmalzler - the real deal, This was my first and I wish I had got two For dessert Dholakia Swiss Chocolate If you like Viking dark you may like SG Scotch Black
