I started a chat room on dal.net called #snuff… it’s open to any member here who would like to join. Here we can chat in real time about snuff or whatever suits our fancy. What is IRC, and how do I join? Windows users: download mIRC from http://mirc.com/ and install/launch the program. After you close the “About mIRC” window, you’ll see a configuration panel. Fill out a (fake) real name and nickname, and select “Random DALnet server” as what you want to connect to. After connecting, type “/join #snuff” and you’ll be in the chat room. OS X users: I honestly don’t know of a user-friendly IRC client for OS X. I have always used irssi. Maybe someone else can fill this out. Linux users: you should damn well know how to use IRC. For OS X, Ircle is a great free one. Also X-Chat, Snak, Chatnet & ShadowIRC are all good.

IRC UpdateWe have moved the channel to Freenode ##snuff due to frequent server splits on DALnet that cause disconnects. Server: chat.freenode.net Channel: ##snuff As always ask away if you want to learn how to join.

Honestly though? IRC? I haven’t of that since 2000. Wouldn’t it be easier just to add a feature to snuffhouse directly? or am I missing something.

We tried to have a chat client directly on Snuff House, it didn’t work well. I think Alex is working on a redesign, maybe he will have one on there.
a client on the website would make things a lot easier and i am sure ppl would join if the only has to push a button
The update should come in late summer. A chat client will be no problem from this point on. Only some more months to wait. It will be worth it.
