snuff for making you alert

hello all, i wonder what your prefered snuffs are for waking you up in the morning, i get up for work every morning at 4,50 and i usually feel more tired than when i went to bed but i do love a nice cup of coffee and a couple of sniffs of toque menthal before i jump on the bike and blast along the M25 to work, its great.

I get up at 4:30am and I usually don’t have any snuff until around 7. It’s usually after having a tumbler of coffee. If I have dip, I usually start at about 8ish.

grunt seems to have a nice lift.

A blast of Menthol wakes me up nicely. Throw some Nicotine in with it and there you go!

I think that something with a good burn to it is good for waking up if I’m really groggy - hit a bit of W.E. Garrett or Toque Quit and my eyes open real quick. If I don’t need to be so drastic, an easier menthol makes for a more pleasant experience - some O&G usually fits the bill nicely.

Dholakia white is good for that. Or some Wilson’s of Sharrow Aniseed Extra, that seems to get the day started.

anything clove for sure.

Bespoke Gin & Tonic always gets me going.

Dholahia aniseed menthol or a good, plain like toque original

Maybe I’m the only one, but I keep a tin on my bedside table and usually have a snuff first thing before really even opening my eyes all the way. Then I lay back and relax and feel the nicotine start rushing. Before you know it, you’re ready to climb up and start the day. Best way to start a morning, especially if you remembered to load the coffeemaker and set the auto timer. Then the HDT kicks in just as you start to smell the fair-trade Sumatran. Ok, off to bed now.

No zonesix, I’m guilty of that myself.

LOL zonesix, but I got the message the first time.

I didn’t get it until the 4th time myself. LOL!

He was just emphasisng his point! I will admit that my silver snuff box is never out of sight and it sits one the window ledge right next to my bed. After 20 years of shift work and night duty my body clock has pretty much given up and I am as near as dammit an honest to goodness insomniac. I will often wake in the night and take a pinch. Probably not the best thing for an insomniac to do but cops are meant to live on junk food and tobacco so I don’t worry about it.

Police work is stressful in the extreme, though. Wouldn’t be surprised to learn that 60% or more in any given precinct suffer from insomnia.

yip!

lots of cops have circles under their eyes. I’ve had jobs where it was hard to sleep knowing I’d be back at work when I woke up and I’ve never had a job that involved anyhere near that stress. Guess just saying thanks really.
