Have you ever adquired some different snuffs expecting them to be diverse, and ended up with 2 or 3 of them that were very similar? I want your help to post here those snuffs that, although not being the same and having their own peculiarities, are similar enough to be considered within the same sort to most palates. I think this would be helpful (other than me) to newbies and to those snuffs enthusiasts who´d like to try as many snuff varieties as posible and doesn´t have enough budget to make mistakes. I suggest posting here on top the equivalences with at least 10 “agree”. Please, share your opinion!
My opening: 6 photo Superkailash - 41 Himtaj Golden
Another one: SG Black Rappee - F&T Santo Domingo
Tom Buck - Queens
I disagree on Black Rappee and Santo Domingo myself, think they’re really different, but that’s just me. SG Black Rappee, SG Scotch Black, and GH Kendal Brown are all three very similar.
T.P.S. Madras - FUBAR Toast
@Juxtaposer I knew that thread, but I was trying to go further with this one. Snuff categories are often inaccurate beyond Medicated Snuffs: Notice that Kendal Brown or Blue Crest are clasified as PLAIN in that discussion, while they are considered SP in other lists. It doesn´t help any little. I could say that 6 Photo Natural and SG Black Rappee are PLAIN snuffs, but you already know how similar they are… It would help a lot much to say that 6Photo natural is similar to FUBAR Snafu Plain, for example, because it´d imply they share more features than what a simple PLAIN tag can suggest. That´s the idea
I’ve had ones that seemed like that flip and open up in ways that made it so obvious the difference that I could pick them out by smell alone. Example the Bernard in the tapboxs all seemed relativily the same. Now they’re excitingly different.
SG Black Coffee - Viking Dark (but VD is plain, with no coffee) Edel Frucht = Gawith Apricot = FC Bayern Viking Peach = SG Peach SG Mandarin = Tantum Verde
Sorry, I was being lazy. I would suggest looking at snuffs by the types of tobaccos that they are made with.

I think Santo Domingo is very close to WoS Best Dark, and I prefer the latter. I haven’t tried Scotch Black, but to me Black Rappee and Kendal Brown are different - Kendal Brown isn’t as moist or ‘dark’ in flavour - Black Rappee is amazingly heavy and moist. Try KB, and if you want something darker move on to Black Rappee. London Brown and Black Rappee, on the other hand are exactly the same according to Bob Gregory at Samuel Gawith - he told me London Brown was a name they gave it when they made it on contract for someone, and they just kept the name going.
