Snuff Collection

O

Hi Xander suggested posting pics of our snuff hoards. Good idea I thought. Here’s my bulk collection so far: http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z24/OscarWabbit/883e3620.jpg Dunno if that will work, let’s see. Hmm, that didn’t work try without the IMG tags. Well that works better. Is it possible to embed pics in posts? Those Toques you can see in yellow tins are each 100g. I’ve got more bulk coming over the next week: Best SP 1lb O&G 200g Hops 200g Mild Lemon 200g Toque Chocolate 100g Toque Whisky & Honey 100g Toque Berwick Brown 100g Toque Blueberry 100g Toque Spanish Gem 100g Toque Bourbon 100g Toque Original 100g Toque Peanut Butter 100g Next up, my refridgerated stash. These are the snuffs I keep in the fridge (there’s more snuff than food lol) http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z24/OscarWabbit/07565f7b.jpg http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z24/OscarWabbit/118a111b.jpg http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z24/OscarWabbit/c37723ce.jpg http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z24/OscarWabbit/1d7cbfc8.jpg http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z24/OscarWabbit/7596a0e3.jpg http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z24/OscarWabbit/9f871999.jpg http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z24/OscarWabbit/67dcb175.jpg I know it’s hard to see the snuffs as they are double bagged. I always use red tape to seal opened tins, to prevent the snuffs going stale. Let’s see some more snuff porn, get yours posted up -I have edited the title of the thread to remove confusion with another type of ‘porn.’ (cstokes4)

G

WOW! That is more snuff then I could use in a lifetime.

B

Do you have every snuff on the market?!

O

Getting there

P

When the great mills stop turning you’ll be sitting pretty.

O

Or get raided by the police. Lol Give it a few years and we’ll be hearing about home grown tobacco ‘farms’ being busted. ok may be not, but it wouldn’t surprise me. Then we’ll all be druggies!

X

Nice stash. I want to get an updated one myself. Maybe in a few days.

O

Thanks Xander. Would be good to see more snuff collections.

M

I was trying to build up a collection, but the wife says I don’t need any more of that crap. Guess I will just have it shipped to work, lol. ed,

T

WTF are you going into business? I mean seriously that’s more than you can snuff before you die. Guaranteed. For real- why do you have so much??? LMAO!

S

looks like O-Dub is preparing for the snuff-pocalypse … would be wise if we all built snuff-bunkers too! Ha!

M

All of you. You’re all a riot. Damn good for laughs . And now you can chuckle at my pee-wee collection of snuff! . http://s194.photobucket.com/albums/z256/HellionRichter/?action=view&current=DSC0004123.jpg

B

not a one of you can compet with the aristocracy of the past.

T

Bring it on! Wish I had a camera that was younger than 10 years old…

P

that looks like a more do-able proposition. handy stash.

O

@transistor You might think so, but I don’t. I estimate I snuff 3-4g per day. That’s just over a kilo a year. Assuming I live another 25 years, I need 25kg of snuff. I’m at about 8kg so far. Still have a way to go to ensure I have a lifetime’s worth.

T

ha ha okay man. Since you’ve done the math, I’ll trust ya! Don’t get me wrong- I definitely wish I could go overkill! And to most that’s definitely overkill. I’m not trying to be rude man really I’m not. I’m still picking my jaw up off the floor! That really is an ungodly amount of snuff. Are you sure the moist ones won’t go bad?

O

Hopefully not if buying bulk and storing them well. @snuffster regularly claims he has snuffs over 30 years old which are still in good condition. As for moist snuffs, I’m lucky as I tend to prefer dry snuffs.

B

Oscar, the first thing that came to mind when I saw your neatly stored stash was the Svalbard Global Seed Vault, LOL! One of every flavor for posterity!!

M

Oscars collection blows mine out of the water lols HE should be the one doing the video reviews!

P

@OscarWabbit do you replace the red tape every time you take a pinch or do you just have a bunch of snuffboxes? @MikeMoose I would consider your pic a good size collection… beats mine and I think I have plenty.

K

That’s impressive, I think I have about 20 tins on the go at the moment.

T

@Roderick that’s hard to imagine but I don’t doubt it. Wish I had a lifetime supply of TOM BUCK but I’m not gonna jinx myself. Tastes change and snuff DOES go bad, so I think I’ll just play it smart I prefer moist snuffs. (semi- moist)

C

I need to take an updated picture. I don’t think the pictures on the old thread made it through the transition.

M

The pictures on this site are old but the list is accurate… https://sites.google.com/site/markthedogwalker/

S

@miamimark … so well done! nice.

M

Thanks… I’m too lazy to drag everything out to do more recent pictures.

M

I have way more snuff now that’s in the pictures. Still have every toque flavor too even thought the picture doesn’t show that.

O

@transistor “and snuff DOES go bad, so I think I’ll just play it smart” What are you inferring?

T

What are you talking about? What part did you not understand? Don’t make what I said about you because it wasn’t. Sheesh. I prefer moist snuff, you prefer dry. Moist snuff can go bad- and I’m not gonna stock up on a bunch of TB and have it dry out on me- I think I’ll play it smart. Yours is mostly dry snuff and you have yours all prepared for storage- I don’t. Also my tastes could change. What would I be inferring I don’t get why you’re asking?

O

No problem. Calm down dear Wasn’t sure if you were having a dig.

B

Actualy Oscar have you ever seen the movie gremlins? That’s what happens to snuff if you store too much of it after midnight and try to rehydrate it. So just saying we all assumed you knew that.

A

That Gremlin film is a documentary, pure fact and what bob says is true.

S

Yes, before it all goes bad, Oscar should give 75% of it away to us OAP’s & the unemployed.

T

that is a really great collection. I probably have more snuff than I can use but I also like to try lot’s of different types. Just part of the hobby (mania) I guess.

W

It’s so easy to become a slave to your snuff! I know, it is a full time job now! And I have Pounds of Tom Buck in perfect condition. I have been officially denied the legal right to buy more from the internet, mail, or phone. My hoarding has been a curse, too much, and now a blessing. You never Know, eh! Better to have it.

T

okay @oscarwabbit ! Sorry man, I just came back from an Ecig forum where people make all kind of rude comments left and right- I’m not used to these forums yet! I need to choose my words carefully- I’m sorry man. No, I didn’t mean that towards you at all.

T

@whalen ummm yeah that’s gonna go bad on ya. I’m gonna need to take that off your hands… Then again, those little Magwaiis are so damned cute…

S

@transistor … as a note to rude comments found elsewhere … i know exactly what you mean … but it sure seems this forum is well patrolled and is a lesson in how to enjoy a topic and OT’s … but be civil, respectful. I have learned tons here in my short time. as far as freshness … the smaller WoS tins, i.e. 10g - 25g tins … how quickly will they lose flavor, etc. if i rarely open - i rarely get into jasmine, cinnamon, or apricot, for example?

B

You know I’ve never regreted having a snuff. I have regreted not having more of a particular snuff. Sometimes out of no where I’ll just really want a sniff of a particular snuff I’ve not even thought of in a long time.

J

Ha ha I feel like an amateur I haven’t finished a tin (I’m close with toque coke I’ve finished about 6 poschl tins but those are different so moist) and you guys are buying 100g bags lol. Hey Napoleon Bonnaparte used 1kg of snuff a week. With the snus stockpiling people who used like 6-8 portion a day didn’t understand why people would buy 500+ tins and now do when they’ll offer discontinued stuff like claq qui, I do since I easily polish that off every six months and don’t refrigerate it, If I had a refrigerator and lived on my own with cash I would probably get 50 tins of snus if it were on sale.

T

I thought refridgeration didn’t make a difference as long as its air tight and out of the light?

J

I’ve always thought refidgerator is usually fairly dry place (freezers even more so), hence an odd place to store one’s snuff or pipe tobacco.

P

I don’t know much about snuff preservation, but I know that the commonly held belief that one should store coffee in a freezer actually damages certain chemicals of the beans.

O

I’m also sorry @transistor. I misunderstood you, but I shouldn’t have been sarcastic. It doesnt excuse my behavior, but I can be a complete tosser when I’ve had a drink (which I’m trying to give up). On a brighter note, the collection continues to grow. http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z24/OscarWabbit/e85bd24e.jpg

S

@OscarWabbit … love the collection. Question … what size tubs are the Wilsons? 450g?

O

Thanks @snuffbrant. Yes, 450g.

T

When I was new to snuff and it’s newness, I was all about expanding my collection, now I am more about refining my collection.

T

its okay @oscarwabbit I can be a big asshole lol You’re cool with me man I’m over it I do wish I had your collection though ha ha

M

I love this forum. So friendly. Its awesome to be able to see human beings work out their problems and be civil with each other. You’re all a nice bunch, and I’m happy to have found this place. So, as one of The Beatles songs go… “Love is all you need”

B

that is so stupid mr Moose. Of course I’am just being a a smart ass. I agree with you.

B

I must have the smallest collection here… I have 16 tins. But I am going to need to get more bulk instead of variety, I cant seem to put down the HDT and D.White Ive already had 50 g. of the d.white over the past 3 months

P

I have various tins that are quite old (6 months +) since I backed off snuffing and picked up the cigarettes again. I’m going to order bulk Toque soon since, for me, Toque stands leaps and bounds above other snuffs in terms of freshness and customer service.

T

Toque’s great- but to say they’re the best is a matter of opinion. Wilson’s of Sharrow DEFINITELY gives them a run for the money. YMMV of course…

P

I’m not saying my top 5 snuffs are all Toque or anything… they just deserve a huge amount of credit is all I’m saying.

M

@bob : better than being a stupid ass

T

OH TOTALLY! From what I’ve heard (I wasn’t snuffing then) they basically just blew up outta nowhere, with EVERY BIT of the talent and complex perfection that the “long standing, traditional” English snuffs possess! I get what you’re saying. You tell a veteran snuffer (lets assume they’ve never heard of Toque- as if that would even be possible lol) that Toque has been around since the beginning right beside SG, WoS, etc., and they’ll believe it all day.

X

Less yapping, more photos! grumble-grumble, mutter, grumble

P

@Xander agreed! I’d take a pic but I’m ASHAMED I tell you! Maybe once my new order comes…

S

Just a reminder keep the photos at a reasonable size, say no more then 600 pixels across. Large ones just blow the page.

W

I don’t know that’s only two pixels per can there about!

S

It’s an ample size. We don’t want members posting street poster sized images that bring up the scroll bars.

A

I regularly claim I have snuff over 30 years old thats in good condition because I have and it’s never been in a freezer just airtight jars. Try it, just put some aside for a few years.

T

As said earlier, I have quit working on building my collection, which I did to quite an extant at one time, now I am refining my collection, to only Indian snuffs, and ones I really like. I’m a light snuffer anyway and one 50g tub would last me a lifetime I think. So my now small collection will last me many times over as it is. I have(one of each): 5 Photo Himalaya, Super Himalaya, Special, Raja. And 6 Photo Kailesh, Super Kailesh, Special, Anarkali. And Dholakia Taj, Herbal, and Blast Strong menthol. And TAS Madras Snuff, and Sugandhsagar Rose. And a little Toque Menthol and that’s all I have. I would like to get some UMA and Arora, and some other hard to find Indian snuffs.

B

Just thought id leave my pititful collection here

B

not bad. I don’t collect snuf it goes up my nose and disapears.

B

Haha same, I used to have 20+ Tins.

O

I’m moving all the refrigerated tins to a wardrobe, a good opportunity for pics. Here’s what was in the fridge: http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z24/OscarWabbit/0714624e.jpg Here’s my bulk. The large jar holds 600g and the other jar holds 400g. The L260 jar is 200g. http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z24/OscarWabbit/03f339ba.jpg I’m currently upgrading all my Toques (in the yellow tins) to 600g jars. I’ve also bought lots of jars and spray painted them black. Aim is to get all bulk in to these types of jars (except the Scotches). I need about another 10 jars in both 600g and 400g. Will also get more 200g jars. http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z24/OscarWabbit/f4a88329.jpg I should have 10 x 600g Toques by the end of next week. *big grin* Edit: just bought 4 more 600g jars, which need spraying black before use. http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z24/OscarWabbit/5fbc7e99.jpg

P

My current collection: http://imageshack.us/m/822/1140/img5512i.jpg The jars, from left to right: 5 Photo Himalaya, TAS Madras, Swastik, Bordeaux, McC O&G, 6 Photo Super Chetak, WoS Tom Buck, Toque Vanilla. In the tins behind the jars: 6 Photo Cheetah, 6P Arankali, 6P Kailash, 6P Super Kailash. plus various half-empty tins not shown here.

P

Shamelessly insouciant treatment of the lovely stuff. About 30 sorts? Bulk SG SP in a cupboard.

X

@PikeMopers I have a lot of those same containers in my pantry and spice cabinet! The one your Madras is in is the best for long term storage of bulk snuffs. That one looks like it could hold 100g. The rest, I don’t think will keep airtight as you hope. The canning jars only make a good seal when they are sealed the first time (under pressure). I’ve used the spice jars myself, and they are ok for temporary solutions.

N

I use canning jars (mason jars) to store my pipe baccy for years and I assure you that as long as you screw the lid on tight they will be air tight no matter how many times you use it and without having to pressure seal it, you just have to make sure its on tight. If they weren’t airtight all of my pipe baccy would be mouldy but they are not mouldy they are perfect, thats how I know they have a good seal and cannning jars are excellent for long term storage.

S

i use mason jars as well … i have 1/2 pints and pints … double lids, and agree with n9n … just insure they are on tightly.

P

@Xander the ones that aren’t in the best containers are ones I’m likely to empty over the next few months, they aren’t for aging or anything. I use jars that are too big because I’m poor, I basically just clean out food jars once they’re empty. At least they’re better than tins!

T

This is my entire snuff collection right now:

S

@tom502 … Spicey!!! or … Spicy!!! (e or no e?)

P

@tom502 I’ve never seen that Sugandhsagar snuff. What’s it like and how did you get your hands on it?

T

Thanks. I wanted to say yes to an “e”, but a Google says no. I used to hoard snuff, and had a ton, but I want to refine it to only Indian snuff, because I like them best, am an Indophile, and really, that’s more that enough to last me forever. Pike, I got that at a local Indian shop. It’s OK, very fine grind, but a decent smooth rose with a very slight coolness.

X

Tom can you please resize that image, I can’t download it at all, but would like to see it. 2 Megs is way too big for a photo. Try to get it under 500k, thanks.

M

Here’s Tom’s picture:

P

That’s a real taste of India.

T

I’d be a happy man just to have a FEW snuffs in bulk. ATM all I have is Tom Buck in bulk. My dream list- Tom Buck Grand Cairo Gold Label And a toast… either Toque W&H or F&T HDT

T

I see the appeal of bulk, but only for myself, I just don’t seem to be a heavy user, even though I do use snuff many times a day, near everyday, I just barely make a dent on my cans. I saw MrSnuff has the 200g cans of 6 Photos, but then I really think 1 50g can would last me forever.

X

Thanks Mark. Tom I think the one on the far left might be a different Madras altogether.

M

here’s mine, also pipes and tobacco for them and a couple other items. edm

P

You’re a man after my own heart with those pipes. I’ve got a couple of kilos of mainly Kendal flakes and things. But I’m now down to around 1 bowl a day! You’ve certainly had a good look at the Toque!

W

@OscarWabbit - You know, I was able to get my TAD back under control! It’s not easy to do, But since I have suffered this disorder I have to point out that you have progressed to the next level. I only point this out because you are in danger of removing a substantial portion of the worlds snuff from circulation, only to die a slow death in a closet, now some on EBAY may bless this behavior, but I alas hate to see such suffering! If it were me I would go ahead and click on that counseling referral link that Mr. Snuff has kindly posted on his site. I know that tins of snuff are cheap, but it is a sickness, and the sooner you come to grips with that, the better! If you need a second opinion, please feel free not to ask Dave at Mr, Snuff, he’s a pusher man, “God damn the pusher man”. P.S, If you do go to the meetings, stay away from the coffee! I drank a lot of it and now I am Hoarding “Hello Kitty” backpacks! But the shelf life is incredible!

T

DVD hoarding is my disease.

M

So many awesome pictures of peoples collections. I thank all of you! Excellent to take a gander at

M

My collection consists of: Toque Spanish Gem Toque Berwick Brown Toque Quit Toque Original Toque Espresso F&T HDT F&T Bordeax F&T Princes Special F&T Santo Domingo WoS Best SP WoS Raspberry WoS Honey Menthol Molens de Kralingse A/P Poeschl Gawith Apricot Poeschl Loewenprise Poeschl Koenigsprise Poeschl Red Bull J&H Wilson Medicated No.99 Probably I also have an old box of Harvard’s Special Snuff hidden somewhere in my old house.

M

Take a picture! . They do great justice. And they’re also fun to look at . I like to admire other peoples collections

O

Just thought I’d post my bulk collection so far: These are my Toques, each 600g: http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z24/OscarWabbit/0373145c.jpg And the rest, scotches, l260 600g, wilsons and mc’c’s. The yellow tins contain 100g of Toques: http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z24/OscarWabbit/c2514a6e.jpg

M

Oscar, your collection is amazing. Excuse my language, but that is a shitload of tobacco you have there . You could supply a city with snuff I’m sure

O

Thanks Mike. I did go a little crazy with my TAD, but it’s sated for now, which is good cos I’m skint and won’t be buying more snuff for a while. Only buying in bulk from now on (except to try new snuffs).

M

I’d really hope your TAD is satisfied .

P

I love this site. It means that my own somewhat compulsive behaviour looks relatively under control.

D

Wow, some awesome collections of snuff here! Oscar, you are absolutely the most completist collector I’ve ever known! Way to go, and keep on going! Here’s my little collection, for what it’s worth. Note the forum in the background.

T

Jealousy sucks. :*( My next snuff purchase is gonna be a half pound of Tommy and Gold label, and Grand C.

O

Thanks for the feedback. Nice collection Ddave. Fancy getting some SG 500g tubs myself. Love the spoons.

U

@petersuki: LOL. Yes, that’s exactly what I think…

M

Updated picture

W

While I can in no way approach Oscarwabbit’s simply obscene snuff porn pictures, I none the less am still afraid to gather all my snuff into one location for a photo. The simple act of seeing how bad the TAD has become would cause some serious soul searching on my part. I find it far easier to continue to blame Dave, Roderick, and the Snuff Store for my unhealthy attraction to “NEW” snuffs. Wilson’s Internet sale did not help either, along with the paranoia of the PACT act. But my crop of Tobacco plants this year is over 60 plants and 6 varieties, I have over a pound of homemade snuff aging at this time. The best I could do to manage the TAD on a budget! TAD is nothing to sneeze at!

D

Now that’s really cool @Whalen, to grow your own tobacco and make snuff from it. Where do you live that tobacco grows well? Does it need a lot of sunlight to grow? We don’t have a lot of space that gets full sun. I admit to having thought about this, but it would just turn into another freakin obsession to contend with. You’re a “bad” influence!

W

I live in Maryland, some of the best blending tobacco was grown in Maryland. I picked several Heirloom tobaccos to grow, Maryland Keller, Yellow Orinoco, Catterton, Virginia Bright Leaf. It is easy to grow, the trick is curing! I have grown a large amount of Rustica for several years. I actually grow it along the river where I live. Easy access to water and nobody knows what it is and never lost any. I grow the Rustica along a small spring on an existing farm, the farmer is amused but willing. I went by the tobacco auction warehouse the other day and it has been closed for quite some many years.

T

Hmmm… Ya know… I live in Tennessee… snuff making time? @whalen is right. The trick to any kind of vegetation that is meant for drying is CURING. You want to reduce the moisture to a low level and evenly!

W

You can easily grow Tobacco and you can grow enough for some serious snuff with a dozen plants. It is a hobby for me. Curing is a serious art! My hats off to those who grow their own.

T

@whalen can you recommend where to get seeds? Such as Virginia and Rustica?

D

I think Seedman is the place to get seeds, but there are probably other good places too. I’m really interested in hearing how tobacco is cured…

B

a lot of people grow rustica in their gardens here to keep bugs away.

W

Seed Man. Google. Snuff Grinders site is good too! http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Snuff\\_Grinders\\_homemade\\_nasal\\_snuff/

M

http://www.fairtradetobacco.com/forum.php http://www.wholeleaftobacco.com/Home.html you can get free seeds here, both sites are connected. one is a site to sell whole leaf tobacco and the other is their forum. edm

J

Finally got around to taking a pic. It’s ever growing.

O

Here’s my collection so far. Have added many 600G of various Mc Crystals thanks to Kris’ super prices at the backyshop. Bottom jars are 3KG of O&G, 600g Supermint, 600g Hops, 600g Clove, 600g Mild Lemon and 600g L260. Got the rest of the Mc C’s line coming (except the Violet whch I dont like). The top row of jars are all Toques.

Also got 600g of Lime Toast on the way, and plan on ordering 600g of Ganga (which has become my bedtime snuff).

Think I’m in the region of about 20ish Kgs so far, give or take a kilo.

Next year I’ll be focusing on stocking up on Wilsons and SG’s bulk snuffs.

K

@OscarWabbit

@-) That’s awesome! Just out of curiosity, how much snuff do you have, total? And how much did you spent on your collection? $-)

O

I’ve built the collection up so far over a year so it’s hard to tell the cost. I’d be guessing. As for the quantity, I reckon around 20kgish.

M

Oscar Wabbit ; The guy with enough snuff to last, well…    …Forever…

O

Not quite Mike, but getting there

W

Worst Case of TAD ever! enjoy…

W

Game over everybody, we have a winner…!

S

@OscarWabbit

I never tire of seeing your snuff collection. It inspires me

B

@OscarWabbit WOW!!  That’s quite a collection!  I’m building up a nice little collection fairly quickly and have a pretty decent sized collection of pipes and pipe tobacco, but yours is pretty impressive.

O

Thanks for the kind words, gents.

M

I’ll have to make an update of my collection sometime soon…  But I don’t think yet, not until I make another Snuff order…  Or two .  Depending on if I can score in on Daves deal in time or not!  LOL

T

Once again- this isn’t TAD it’s OBSESSION!!!

@oscarwabbit dude, I’m totally jealous. But seriously- you’re telling me that’s NOT enough for the rest of your life? How old are you? Have you done the math?  How much more than approx. 20 kgs would you need?  I really do want to know I’ve wondered that numerous times!

K

I just worked out that Oscars stash would last me about 11.5 years, as I get through 200g every six weeks or so. I guess there is room for a few more tubs if he is going for the lifetime supply.

O

Well, I have 6 x 600g Mc Chrystal’s coming and 600g of toque lime toast on the way. Would also like to buy 600g of Ganga. With that and the Wilsons 450g’s and SG’s 500g’s tubs I intend to buy next year, I think I’m close to my lifetime’s supply which will be about 30Kg-35Kg. I won’t start using the snuff in the black jars for a few years though. They’re intended for long term storage. I’m 42 years old.

T

Well I have to say- you put your mind to something you most certainly accomplish it!

You collection has DOUBLED since I last saw it!

G

Really impressive collection, may be I will have a same one not in a so long time,if I don’t stop -)

G

@ OscarWabbit

I can’t be the only one that thinks your collection of snuff is a bit excessive.  While I think it’s cool that you have all that snuff what the hell is the point?

Snuff goes bad overtime, even if it’s stored in air tight containers.  Besides that, if this stash was cigarettes instead of snuff the true ridiculousness of it would be even more apparent.  Snuff is a luxury, not something you go to Costco and buy by the pallet…IMO

O

Snuff, properly stored can stay fresh for 30 years.

S

hmmm … snuff, for some, @giaach, is a necessity in a way … right?  for us poor souls who are nicotine bound … most certainly a necessity for my weak self … Oscar is afflicted with TAD, for sure, but the thought about ordering it while he can ( who knows what restrictions will come next in ordering online, etc.), isn’t as off the wall thought as one might think it is.

i’ve succumbed to TAD … just tallied up the bulk i have (while nowhere near OscarW’s) it is way more than i ever thought i’d have …

J

Fresh is a relative term. Once you have it for a day it’s a day old and so on. I just hope you don’t miss out on all the magical new snuffs that are yet to be created.

S

Somehow I doubt Oscar will miss out on the new snuffs

P

If the anti-tobacco fanatics succeed in banning the sale of all tobacco products (Heaven forbid), Oscar may be the only one of us who will be truly prepared.  I know of a few pipe smokers who have collections rivaling his in size, but no other snuffers so well stocked.

G

Enter “The Snuff Bar.”  When guests come over, The Snuff Bar is free for all to use as long as it’s respected, which it always is.  Despite the amount of alcohol usually served at my pad, everything is surprisingly well kept.  The PC boxes aren’t usually kept there; they’re usually shelved upon the third glass shelf.  I just set them out for display to post some pictures in another thread on this forum.  There are shot glasses, on shelf 2 behind the five photo snuffs, that are periodically filled with 5mm of water to assist in keeping this elevated cabinet hydrated for freshness sake. It works well for me, anyway.

S

I envy your tidiness, your photographic skill it good too.

J

@gosen’s schnoz…  very nice. whats the snuff in front of the horn beside the toque ?

G

@Snuffhead     Thanks, but I owe it to my tripod and Nikon lens.  I wish I could take credit for that though.  Would you believe The Snuff Bar stays like this after we all get sloshed?  It’s literally treated like a sacred shrine.  I can’t tell you how hilarious it is watching buddies, in a drunken state, standing there for an extra two minutes or so trying to align everything back to the way it was before.

@jpsks     Oh, would you believe that’s actually a crab claw?  Those tins are the finest dip, or moist lip snuff, I’ve ever tried.  It’s from a maker with the moniker Stokers.  Better than Skoal, Copenhagen, or any others I’ve ever tried.  The cut is very long, and the flavor is surprisingly incredible given the price.  I don’t use any other brand.

very OCD @Gosen’s Schnoz … i suffer from the same affliction …  i am happy to say i have you on PC Triple Tech’s with the two I just received … puts me at 10 … but you have me on organization.  Nice looking collection. Thanks for sharing the pics.

An army couldnt finish that snuff

V

my collection, been snuffing for a year, got 10 tins of toque comming in the mail

Vito!  It seems that maybe we both ordered the Poschl Bundle…?  :-P .  I LOVE the sudfrucht man!  What do you think of it?!

G

@Snuffbrant   I still need to acquire the five diamond single compartment box.  What else is there?

@Vito445   An army IS in the process of finishing that snuff, LOL!  I adore Poschl.

B

Nice display, Gosen!

I have to say, my four young children would go through there like they where lawn bowling and that display wouldn’t last in my house, unfortunately, lol! I have to have mine on a high shelf and in a buffet drawer.

S

That is a very nice display.

@ Gosen’s Schnoz That’s a beautiful sight to behold. My small collection is housed in my upper desk drawer out in my garage. I have my pipes in racks on top of the desk along with a pipe humidor with various tobaccos and my snuffs in the drawer for easy access while smoking. Humble set-up indeed, but it is adequate for me. Would love to have a proper place to enjoy my snuff and pipes someday. Not enought room in my abode for a lounge and wife frowns upon smoking in the house, so garage it is. Will post some pics later.

S

@Gosen’s Schnoz … i must’ve miscounted … sigh … i only have the 9 TT boxes … and i only have three of the single snuff boxes as i primarily use the TT’s … it will be a race when each new one comes out!

V

The sudfrucht is fantastic, the scent seems like it lasts an hour, the perlereuter is nice when drinking a cup of joe.

@Snuffbrant     Gorgeous boxes Snuffbrant, and thanks for sharing a photo!  Every PC box is different in that their wood grains are all unique unto themselves.  Your Triple Tech Zebra wood’s grains are much straighter than mine and is a pleasure to look at.  I don’t have the third box from the left in the bottom row.  What type of wood is that beauty made of?

S

@Gosen’s Schnoz … I believe that is the Padauk TT …  it holds Spanish Gem for me.  ;)

G

@Snuffbrant  Incredible…  I’ll be sure to order one whenever it becomes available again… if ever.  I spoke to Patrick and suggested a bird’s-eye maple triple tech, but who knows… We’ll see what the future brings.

Great…I already have TAD, PAD and now I feel a case of TTAD coming on…

S

it’s a terrible sickness, indeed, Slide … welcome to the disease!

N

I want all the snuff you try to sell, this disease I give to myself.

G

@Joesnuffer      I just saw your snuff collection video on You Tube, and I must say, WOW!  That is seriously a lot of snuff!  It’s weird how not too long ago I randomly ran into one of your vids while surfing You Tube and heard that your car got broken into and someone stole your mudjug.  I remember thinking to myself, “What kind of assh*le breaks into someone’s car and steals a mudjug?!”  Anyway, I feel for you and your neighbors.  My home was broken into about a year and a half ago and everything of value was stolen $30,000+ worth of stuff, gone… just like that. Anyway, cool vids.

Good snuff, and a Star Wars book fan as well. Very cool.

I have cardboard boxes, cigar boxes, drawers filled with snuff, black powder pistols, incense, pot in glass jars, snuff in glass jars, next to my bed, on my night table, in my car, etc. I have tried to organize them in some fashion, but it seems that the more I try, the more discouraged I become. I’ve also started writing the date I received the snuff on the bottom of the tin, putting black electrical tape around the Wilson’s and Fred Tranter, keeping the Molen’s in the freezer, etc. I still periodically go through them, box by box, to see what needs hydrating. I started to assemble them all for photos to put here, but decided not to when I saw how organized some of you are. I don’t want to open myself up for criticism form any of you.
