Here’s a novel thread idea to inspire some more activity and interaction. This post will start a chain reaction, a snuff Call Out.

To respond to this thread you must take a pinch of the snuff called out by the person above you. 

When responding you will chose a different snuff -That You Own- and call it out! (no mixes please) 

As the thread develops everyone will learn what each other has in thier collection. And perhaps challenge people to dig deep into their collections in order to respond and make thier own call outs! 

If the thread activity is halted by obscure snuff call outs we’ll have to kick start it again. Please wait a couple days for someone to attempt a response, and start each kickstart reply with KICKSTART in capitals.

@Hawaiian_Ryan , Hi Bud, the only problem with this is it requires a man to have Photo graphic memory or he has to go back & read all the posts every time & that’s not realistic for me, although I will do my best as I am sure everyone will, but I am sure there will be snuffs repeated from time to time.

@Hawaiian_Ryan, I called out Starr scotch on the first page. There is only so much snuff that people have. There is bound to be duplicates, like the starr scotch. The kick starter is for snuff that hasn’t been called out for a few days because no one has it.

I believe the one I just pulled out of the freezer Is Swastik chaap, I never knew what it was until I just googled swastik chaap. My friend who introduced me initially to snuff gave it to me awhile back its a relatively moist menthol. It looks quite old and I always thought it to be some Nazi brand snuff with the swastika and all. I’m not 100% sure this is the right one since I cannot read the packaging at all, although from a quick google search it most likely is. It TigerJackshere if you are able to confirm this would be great I always wondered what it was.

So if so, I am calling out Schmalzler Zwiefacher, from the Bernard range.

TigerJackshere yeah that is the one. I guess I figured since the Nazis had such a strong anti-smoking campaign they made some snuff to give to their soldiers to prevent lung cancer. After analyzing the writing it defiantly isn’t German maybe Hindi or another Indian language.

Maybe, can’t say for sure, I certainly get a hell of a burn from it. To be honest, I like the rose scent from St. Casura a bit better, it’s much softer. WoS Rose is great, but more, well, “bug spray” for lack of a better term. I like every floral I have tried that could be described that way though.**

Kick starting this thread with some Samuel Gawith Black Rappee! Delicious coarse ground black snuff with a very straight forward earthy tobacco aroma albeit pretty unforgiving on the back drip if you somehow insufflate it too far or decide it is a bright idea to load your nose to capacity with it before laying on your back to sleep lol. I did this and the resulting gag of snuff was very bitter in a very bad way.

I just put my hand in the boat of Bernard Gekachelter Virginie, just opening the lid gives off a very strong aroma but in the nose it recalls a cozy winter night in the light of a fireplace. I love it!

I’ve got to say Dholakia Black. Never was a fan like quite a few people though this snuff has been growing on my lately.

I will continue the call out for a “controversial” type of snuff you personally like?

I will take the challenge, and dig out the GH Tia Maria, which I like to partake maybe twice a month.
I know many people loathe it, and I cannot explain why I like it sometimes, it just tickles some memories
of a long forgotten age.

Next one, lets try the best aged snuff you found at the bottom of your stash that is still impressively good even though it has ages.

Abraxas Premium Fin. I have had this in my stash from when I first started snuff a year and a half ago. Never been refrigerated and still good. The main reason I still have it is mainly due to me unable to take fine snuff when I first started, then I lost the jar way back when. Only found it a month ago and savoring it. I cant really compare it to a fresh jar though mine still has a great strong liquor scent.

I’ll keep to the same call out. Best aged snuff you found at the bottom of your stash that is still impressively good even though it has age.

NB Madras in my nose now. I have a tin which is 5 years old but this is still good. I call out your favourite Indian rose fragrance snuff.

I will take Anarkali (not too much rose in it, though), which is still one of my favourite Indian blacks (after Kailash and Motia)

Calling out another black magic, F&T Princes!

Princes is a snuff I’ve never liked, too much moisture and thickness for my nose. Also, I had a bad experience with my 5 gram can, the part where the cover is screwed up is corroded, it looks like rust. I managed to open it once and I could not open it again unless it was with a knife lever, it was a total disappointment. I’ll get the knife and take a pinch. Calling Toque Ambrosia Limited Edition

@ar47 No I did not see the tread where you mentioned Celtic Talisman, just dug it up while I was searching for Elmos Reserve. Celtic Talisman was just another forgotten favorite of mine.
