Compared to cigs, how is the nicotine buzz from nasal snuff. Im waiting for my package. I noticed with vaping it comes on very subtle… I’m already down to about 5 cigs a day from 20. The snuff should finish off those 5
Depends a lot on the kind of snuff you get. Fine, dry snuffs, you get a fairly quick, sharp, short-acting nicotine hit. Moist, coarse snuffs, it comes on slowly, builds up, and lasts a bit longer. I’ve never vaped, so I can’t compare it. But I used to smoke up to eight pipes a day. I cut down dramatically, to one or two, after I started using snuff almost straight away, and that was without any particular commitment to stopping smoking – I just found I preferred snuff. These days, I have about one pipe a week. I still don’t consciously try not to smoke, I just like snuff better. But different things work for different people. Wait til you get your package, give it a shot and see how it goes.
I sniff strong american snuff. I never feel a buzz, snuff got me off the smoking so it serves its purpose for me.
Cram your nose with snuff and most of them will get you buzzed. Take little baby sniffs and youll just get the aroma.
If you want to FEEL the nicotine you need to take large pinches frequently. If you take large amounts of a weak snuff you’ll feel the nicotine and if you take small amounts of a strong snuff you won’t feel shit. This is why a lot of people claim that some of the weaker easier to take snuffs are high in nicotine and that a lot of the strong snuffs like whites and scotches do nothing for them it’s because they’re taking large amounts of the easy to take snuff and are intimidated by the finer stronger snuffs so they only take tiny pinches of them.
For some reason Samuel Gawith Black Coffee, (along with some of the 6 Photo snuffs) is the one with the biggest hit for me, it often makes me a bit dizzy though it doesn’t seem to be known as a high nicotine snuff. One thing you will find is that you might not get that much of a buzz initially, it takes a few weeks for the receptors in your nose to develop. So stick with it.
I have found that some days if I start off with a medicated snuff and then use my daily snuff I tend to feel it a bit more early on, where if I just pinch my regular it is a bit slower to “feel”. I can usually gauge my nicotine level based on how often I take a pinch- some days and with some snuffs its obvious.
