I got a couple vintage (I think) snuff bottles off the bay this week, well they arrived today and to my surprise the HUGE Bernard Aecht bayrischer bottle with what I beleive is a genuine fox tail nose duster (maybe someone can verify) is full of seemingly very fresh Schmalzler, like easily over 100g of it! The other smaller one is Poschl Perlesreuter Schmalzler bottle with original tag still intact…

I don’t really know, I’m just going by what the seller listed, I saw another one today and it was described as goat hair, hard to say, I will have to do some research.
I really like these bottles. For Schmalzler they are ideal.
Cogratulations mate, good looking bottles. The best thing about them in my opinion is the advertising part - it’s like a tradition for the German producers.

Beautiful items. Have never tried from a bottle. Is it difficult to use functionally? Use a spoon or something with the big bottle? Sorry, am oblivious on my end.
