Does your significant other use snuff? I just started using this stuff in earnest a few weeks ago and my girlfriend was game to try it. Although she doesn’t like it much, she doesn’t seem to mind me doing it either. Just wondering if any of you use snuff as a couple, or does it cause any friction between you?
Upon discovering that it clears a stuffy nose very quickly, she tried and she uses for that purpose only.
Mrs. James S. thought it odd at first, but when it lowered the cig habit she was jake with it, although she’d be loath to try it herself. Sometimes if I get a nicely scented one she’ll smell it, but definitely not snuff it. Oh well; more for me!
Mrs Sprang won’t try it at all. My older son will take the slightest of pinches once in a while. I keep trying to get my daughter to try it, she has stuffy nose problems, but to no avail. “It’s so grosssss”. lol
She doesn’t but she always hated me smoking - the worry about my health and the smell as she is a life long non-user of tobacco. She sees snuff as being in my case almost a life saver cos I was such a heavy smoker. I did ply her with wine once and got her to take a pinch but not being addicted to vitamin N she wasn’t that interested, although when I get a new brand she loves to smell the aroma which for some of them she really likes. My sister in law, non smoker, will have a pinch of anything new and my brother will always give it a go as well
Mrs Z now sniffs O&G, nothing else consistantly.
Every once and again I will get my Fiance to take a pinch. But it usually requires a few cocktails.
My ex didn’t mind my snuff use, in fact she got quite into it herself and bought a few different tins of snuff for herself. I’m not sure if she’s still using it. My current girlfriend just thinks it’s quirky, but doesn’t really mind my using it. She will make snide comments about how funny I smell when I’ve taken some SGs London Brown or Molen’s Latakia but there’s no real friction caused by it.
Mrs. Kidnapper doesn’t mind although lately since she’s been pregnant she has definitely been more sensitive to it. -Kidnapper
My other half doesn’t snuff, but he has no issues with me using it.
My girlfriend thought it was great that i snuffed. I even bought her a bullet of she cherry, and she would snuff in class when she couldnt smoke. but seems like she’s getting away from snuff. I must admit i quit for about a month, then just yesterday i had an urge for some Wilson’s SP and it seems that im going strong again. I forgot how much i liked it. Long live Snuff!
my girl and I both use snuff. It got me to quit smoking, and she’s cut down on cigarettes dramatically, doesn’t buy them anymore, just bums them once in awhile.
There isn’t any friction between me and the other half over snuff. In fact whenever I get a tin out, she always takes a few pinches as well! She completely and utterly loves WoS Chocolate Orange (then again, she is a woman). Always game to try new snuffs with zeal. Going to have to buy her a 25g tin of Chocolate Orange for herself. Also, she is rather addicted to O&G.
@Snuffin: You should get her some Dholakia Swiss Chocolate.
The missus considers it a little quirky, but it doesn’t bother her outside of the nasty trail of kleenex I leave in my wake. I need to get some proper hankies!
Much better then cigs she says. Loves the way certain ones smell. The only reason I still use the swiss choclate is because she loves the way it smells on me. Cuddle powder I’ll call it just to be p.g…
I envy you guys…my girlfriend doesn’t like that I snuff and I started using it to quit smoking…which she still does
Show her a good time with the money that you are saving.
@ avedis challenge her to a foot race. Since you’re snuffing and not smoking you’ll have a better lung capacity and she’ll never chatch you so you can ditch her and get a new girlfriend.
@ bob…you got a good laugh out of me on that one
Mine likes qws irish coffee, but still smokes like a chimney
The Evil Mrs henwrench does not snuff. She still smokes but can’t believe I’ve stopped after 25 years of heavy smoking. I drive a taxi for a living, and quite often ask my elderly customers about their snuff memories. Many of the old folks tell me that when they were kids, men smoked but the ladies snuffed like trumpets, day and night. How weird is that? And very cool too… henwrench
@Avedis sorry to hear that… i was about to say that i don’t think there is anybody that will actually have something against it… i was wrong i guess… maybe she doesn’t quite understand what it is…lol… especially if it got you off the nasty cigs…anyways my wife won’t snuff but she couldn’t be happier that i quit smoking cigarettes; i have 2 months now and it is all due to snuffing…
The mistress of the house doesn’t mind me using snuff too much, so she permits me to continue in my meager existance. She even has a heavy menthol [forgot which one] for when she gets stuffed up. Which isn’t very often.
