So, a few weeks ago I went to the reefer doctor to get my medical marijuana license renewed to grow cannabis in my basement. Anyway, it was going well until we got to the “do you use tobacco”? I told him I use smokeless tobacco. Then, for the next 15 or 20 minutes he goes on to tell me all this bullshit about nicotine, and how any pain is because of it.  Then, starts talking about my teeth falling out. Which I did not bother to tell the guy I have been railing snuff for a couple years now, and have no intention of stopping… but I will be sure to not mention that next time just to get out of there without a lecture. Real friggin useful. Talked nothing about my back pain or anything, I tried asking about exercise… Nope. I would have told him he was a idiot. But. Really didnt want to get denied my license. Any opinions? Do many doctors terrify you as much as they do me? Do they remind you of those kids who cheated their way through college only to end up with a PhD?

I have respect for Medical Doctor who specialize in a field of medicine, Those ones that are general practitioner are just that; they are practicing medicine.I am sure they have your best welfare in mind but they rely on data base and generally are mindset that all tobacco is harmful. It’s a case of contempt before investigation.

I had all kinds of ailments since i have a new anatomy and was feeling bad so I went to see my PCP and he ordered blood tests and then more blood tests and they said they found nothing wrong with me.[The test should had revealed my cancer marker of almost 1000.]  Well I looked up the symptoms I had and it came up to be a candida overgrowth [too much yeast] So I put myself on the recommended diet for candida and less than a week all my ailments  were gone and I was feeling great.

As for smokeless tobacco of even the word snuff they relate it to chew or dip and that is loaded with sugar.  That is why he said tooth loss. Dip comes on slow, so some dippers pack a lip often and never bother to rinse after. Also dipping can irritate the gums and could cause mouth sores that could lead to infection. Because tobacco has a numbing effect to sooth pain, problem are seldom recognized right off. But smokeless is safer than smoking cigarettes.

Those who cheated should be put behind bars. I am sure there are some out there. And that is terrifying!

786 Is this thread even allowed? I myself am a green card patient–I’m in Michigan–but my mmj doctor is very cool, very much on board with all kind of alternative therapies and asked nothing about tobacco. @coreymillia, that doctor sounds like a douche. And nothing he said about nicotine is true: if it were, doctors wouldn’t recommend nicotine gum or lozenges. Many doctors, however, are morons; I’ve had plenty who spouted lie after lie in their gross ignorance. After I bury the body I go find a doctor worthy of the name. I have a fat handful of good doctors now, but it took years of frustration and a very pissed-off, very vocal (now ex) wife to get to this point. A lot of these lies are spread in medical “schools.” I had a friend who was going to nursing school who was convinced that nicotine is a carcinogen and that they inject pigs’ lungs with nicotine in order to give them lung cancer so that they can cut out the lungs and use them as displays for med students. Anyone who gives it two seconds of thought can see that there is no possible way that that it could even be remotely true. It’s one of the stupidest things I’ve ever heard, but she refused to do a two minute Google search because, she said, what I said to the contrary was “so obviously bs.” It confirmed my low opinion of the “medical” establishment; after I got sick my opinion of doctors and nurses got even lower still. Doctors are idolized as intelligent, curious and compassionate; when in reality they are stupid, dogmatic and apathetic. While I would be the first to make distinctions where individual doctors are concerned–my current doctors are great–as a class I have a deep-seated disdain for them.

All I know is that I go to a nursing school, and people are swiftly kicked out of school for cheating - and that’s how it should be.  One girl was telling another girl about test questions in the bathroom… the professor was in the stall…  BOOM!  One was kicked out.  It’d be hard to cheat your way through medical school, but I’m sure some quacks squirrel their way through somehow though.  I have two docs in my family, and they’re both smart, good people that make me look like a dud… but don’t know a thing about what nasal snuff does to you!  It’s still strange to me that doctor’s notes exist that allow people to grow in their basement… so yeah, don’t rock that boat!  I sure as shit would go to jail!
