Snuff and make-up, a difficult combination

hey guys
it is not realy hard to tell that make-up and snufftaking dont mix well
czech tool or bullet works to get it in but oh my…! blowing the nose is a problem!
help! maybe there is trick? then please let me know of it

:x

I would suggest don’t use snuffs with a lot of front drip and which are light on the nose despite taking a few grams. For me these are snuffs like the dry variety or the indian whites. I rarely need to blow my nose with these. (Of course, I don’t wear makeup, I’m a guy - but just thinking what would make you not clean your nose often) . Hope this helps.

I could only second that. Dholakia White is the only snuff I can take in public (no forward drip). Portion snus (especially mini-sized or slim-sized) could be a nice snuff substitute in public places. No mess at all.

Use fine and dry snuffs when in public. You don’t have to blow your nose that often. McChrystal’s or WoS. Personally I like medicated ones when I go out, or at least with some menthol.

@SunnyDay Have you tried Dholakia Herbal? It’s non tobacco snuff and it does not cause any kind of nose run whatsoever.

Thanks guys i will give the two dholakia a try which i is on my list anyways as i have not had any dholakia.
small but strong pinch is the way to go you are right! no schmalzler though! oh my what a mess believe me :))

i find myself sattelite around the “hedges” and the wilsons “bee cool” recently those are on my table. its true some of the fine grind english snuffs just dissapear sometimes, i love the “jocks choice” ! ozona president is good in regards of tiny hits that work without much nose drip btw they must have reformulated this one there is zero anise for me to smell i think they switched that to the orange oil extract that is used in gawith silver and “glueck auf” it got something feintly orange-citric like in the back

;)) :-*

Argh I typed a flipping essay and the bloody thing wiped away my reply because I used an apostrophe

I dont use a bullet just back of my hand & a snuffspoon. I rarely have problems with 6 photo snuffs which I use regularly. I avoid smalzlers when wearing foundation as that makes for a hot mess. I do carry a small concealer stick to top up what has been wiped away by my hanky. I do often forgo foundation and just wear powder as it is easy to top up the wiped off areas. ;

@ladysnuff thanks for the reply! i wish i could just fix it up easy but i need to resort to foundation, color corrector, concealer and powder so it is rather exhausting to repair.
i agree the choice of snuff helps and will be trying 6 photo soon i bought a try pack of all sorts for a small price >:D<
the jaxons are relatively easy on the drip and are not bitter tasting at all should some run down the as well as bernard alt offenbacher with a high tobacco content. english types in general would work good but i am having lots of trouble snuffing them without using the “plugging” technique somewhere described in this forum (thanks for that one!) unfortunatly that can be a mess around the nose. i really wonder if those non medicated english snuffs like tom bucks and the likes are supposed to be this dry from a fresh tin. i got them sealed with a green tape around but maybe those are just adjusted to rainy english weather :)]

@SunnyDay, you will find Indian black ones quite messy in that sense. I have shortened my moustache recently and now having big time cleaning off those black traces under my nose every time. Actually I have to harness my nails to scrap off that thing. I suspect there’s some carbon among the ingredients

Regarding freshness, are there mfg date stickers on the bottom of your WoS snuffs? Tape keeps them moist for 1.5-2 years in those tins. If you have WoS snuffs from '17, they definitely ought to be fresh and still contain proper moisture.

There’s a photo of some snuff packages with mfg date. By the way, 6 Photo Super Chetak from 2013 is still in good condition and review of the Russian one from 1975 is pending.

I advice to learn narrowing your nose walls while insuflating. It really helps to enjoy taking any kind of snuff by pinch.

@volunge i checked my wilson tins and cant find any date or batch number because the label is replaced by german warning (imported by snuffstore)

i tried squinting my nose while sniffing like if i would smell something bad this really seems to help thanks volunge you are a real snuff pro
^:)^

You are welcome! I’m glad if that worked for you. This technique is essential for taking Indian whites. Kind of nasal acrobatics
The single drawback of pinching method is accumulation of snuff under the nails.

You should cut some snuff with your foundation so that even if it gets messy, no one could tell since it’s the same color. I don’t think it’s dangerous to since if it’s safe to go on your skin, it could probably go up your nose too.

Any foundation dust up my nose dose not include snuff. Usually just concrete. Sometimes I will dig it out with my snuff spoon before I have any snuff, but not usually unless it’s after dinner time.

Buddy if you never nasally (or intravenously) took concrete, you’re really missing out.
