I must avoid eating sweets, and shedding some weight would help too. So snuff is ideal in both regards. Anyone else attracted for similar reasons? (the many other ones are discussed aplenty.
On the few occasions when I’ve been foolish enough to try to cease using tobacco, I’ve put on around 20kg, or 44lb. That amount of extra weight could easily tip you over into diabetes. I’ve lost it all again using snuff and eating good. At 52, I now weigh the same as I did when I was 30, 65kg, or 144lb. I firmly believe snuff is good for you.
I am at risk having half my pancreas removed, also half my stomach, digestion is hit or miss, over hydration is harder but I aim for it. I don’t think tobacco has too much control regulating my weight. But I know I am a miserable son of a bitch without tobacco. The only time I gained a significant amount is when I put down the cigarettes for good , food tasted better.
I have type I diabetes. I tossed the cigarettes for obvious reasons. I see my snuff nowadays much like coffee (which I drink a lot), not very much to do with diabetes. I use very scented snuffs mostly and still crave for sweets, so I don’t know about that. I didn’t gain weight after I quit cigs and replaced it with snuff.
Well, I find that my sweet-tooth can be assuaged with sweet snuff - one of the Molens chocolate flavours is, for me at least, better than a chocolate bar and vastly more healthy!
I agree that sweet scented snuffs can curb my sweet tooth. I tend to use them and sweet flavoured snuses after a meal instead of having pudding.
