I am a long time cigar smoker and would like the best of both worlds. Is there such a thing as a snuff composed of or flavored with cigar leaf? There are actually many of us out here that think that might be a hit. Help…
You might want to check out Brannif’s “Carribean”, made with Cuban tobacco, I guess there’s some menthol in there too.
Dholakia’s Sparrow has a nice fresh cigar like scent. I have ground up a few cigars myself. I have heard that Tombolaka makes a good snuff too. A lot of snuffs have a certain percentage of Burley. Fermented Burley as in cigars is more mild in the nose than fresh color cured Burley. I prefer the strength of unfermented Burley myself.
The better snuff I know on cigar is Braniff.Caribbean don’t give too easily his aroma in double with menthol for a more long lasting of the first too.You should “make” your nose with others menthol’s(not too stongs, not too lights),then you pinch Caribbean and with practical you smell a fantastic, and as alive, scent of burning cigar always with menthol, here the two are twins.
Maybe not what you are looking for but I have found RR Mills Plain kind of has that cigar smell. Granted it is more like the smell of cheep swisher sweets or philly’s blunt cigars, but still cigars.
Ken
J & H Wilsons SP No.1 is quite cigar-ish–almost too cigar-ish sometimes.
Thanks guys for the ideas and input. I will certainly look into your suggestions. You know how it is, never any trouble finding/trying new things!

Question…How did things turn out when you ground your own cigars? What type? Tried to identify where could find Tombolaka snuff. Any recommendations? Just curious. and thanks for your ideas.
I ground up a Cuban Montecristo. It was good enough to use to stretch out my Spanish Jewel. Tombolaka is Indonesian cigar tobacco popular with pipe smokers it is not a ready made snuff.
Braniff Carribean is probably what you are looking for. Very cigar like imho. no menthol.

I don’t know what stuff your talking about but my tap box of Braniff Carribean is loaded with menthol and doesn’t taste anything like a cigar.
@n9inchails : taste your caribbean with"faith" and without forget to smell the long lasting effect ,in different association and times of menthol’s,I think 'll can’t feel an Havana burning on the best moments…Try,I’ve found it recently .Snuff is full of hiddens doors.
Tell me if you feel it.thanks.
Thanks all for the feedback. Much appreciated.
The Braniff snuffs are very much like a sweet cigar, no other snuff I have tried comes as close to a cigar IMO.
@SnuffSniffer : I’ve just had my first real emanation of deep whisky like scent of a glass of Glenmorangie on Braniff Wisky, still more than Caribean it’s like approaching a wild animal without his leaving the first time. But like you say for the Caribean cigar : wonderfull of reality.
