I have been looking on Snuffhouse.org for some discussions on the adulterant issue, primarily american snuffs, and have had little success. If there are any, please steer me in that direction and/or post other website links. Thanks, Brian
I would be interested in knowing this as well. I have always thought that scotches were pure tobacco but if not then I would like to know what is in them.
Can’t get it to work, I select the brand but there are no packages to click on, and I tried a few different brands…
I can tell you tobacco and water, ammonium carbonate and sodium carbonate, salt and preservatives are listed for all the dry snuffs.
The sweets also may include Natural and artificial flavors. sodium chloride, sodium saccharin, malto dextrin and silocon dioxide.
I would guess other American dry snuff ingredients to be similar if not the same.
Well I’ve heard it said on there that “scotches are forever”, so what the hell kind of preservatives are they using?! lol
embalming fluid? Myrrh and beetle extracts?
great, we’re all sniffing mummia!
maybe if it smells musty
I like to run scarabs through my mill and label it Tut Snuff. lol
Thank you, Juxtaposer for the link.
lol
What is a “Skoal Tobacco Stick”?
@Pot Poe…Skoal Tobacco Sticks are a powdered dissolvable tobacco much like Camel Sticks, Orbs and StoneWall/Arriva. Basically it’s powdered tobacco mushed into a stick form that you stick in your mouth like a toothpick, except it disappears like hard candy or a lollipop. Skoal and camel are in the test market phase with their respective products right now. We really don’t have a clue what the future will bring in terms of wider markets.
